Manchin Walks Away From Deal But Pretends There Was No Deal | Talking Points Memo

I could swear I read yesterday that Kristi was at this same event. Wonder if a lovers tiff led to Corey hitting on another woman?

O’Donnell raked Sinema over the coals last night.

Effectively ("…No Senator has ever done this…VERY disrespectful to her constituents and Americans in general…ESPECIALLY to Americans who need this legislation to radically improve their lives……").

And Tag Team (He got two guests to pile on with his next segment)

Manchin showed in spades his politician chops. He denied knowing anything about what he happily described in detail months before.
Lying is in a politician’s DNA

They have been bullshitting about infrastructure for months. Only a deadline gets them to do their goddamned job. Lazy fuckers. And for this their base pay per annum is $174,000. It otta get zeroed out of the budget. Yes I know they’re all wealthy but jeebus! Or as I suggested last night, how about not paying their office staff?

As much as someone with some shame might care, I think this has no impact on her. She has no shame. She just doesn’t care.

Nor will Hope Hicks…or his wife, the 9/11 widow.

It’s obvious what Natasha Sinema’s game plan is. Serve one term, grab all the cash you can and then get that nice sweet lobbying position.

Sure is amazing how her net worth is now in the million dollar range!

He should be more careful. Considering what she was willing to set up in order to get out of her first marriage.

Well it’s got to sting that Corey will be replaced running Trump’s Super PAC with Pam Biondi.
In other reporting it was said that Corey was drunk, geez dude you’re there to rake in the money not chase skirt, priorities, dude priorities.

Excuse me? It was a conference. Those things are designed to be all about getting adults together without nosy family members or witnesses around.

Looks like they have Al Capo…errrr…Donald Trump’s second set of books.

Money quote: "Snell also says that prosecutors are trying to send Trump a message by including that detail in the indictment that “we have your ledger.”

If you know someone that would run, counsel them to start NOW. Seriously - name recognition and all that.

It’s why I’m getting slammed daily with text messages for the Dem candidates for Senator to replace RoJo.

If there’s no name recognition, Sinema will run again and win handily. The American people are seriously challenged when faced with an incumbent to voting them out, no matter how awful they are (all one has to do is look at the re-elected Senators in 2020 to bear that out).

As I was watching the pundits pundit last night about Sinema, they were saying/asking the question that I have been asking for 2 weeks-What does she and Joe want?
I may not be Caption Obvious, but I surely have advanced to the rank of Petty Officer Well Duh.
She also tried to play games with reporter yesterday afternoon. They were trying to get her answer why the House Progressive members couldn’t find her, and why was she hiding. Her reply was, “I’m not hiding, I’m here in front of the elevators”. Someone needs to kick her in the ass.

Very Interesting

Excerpt:

The group was founded in 1981 by activists influential in the Christian right, including Tim LaHaye, Howard Phillips and Paul Weyrich, who had also been involved in founding and leading the Moral Majority. Initially they were seeking to maximize their influence on the new Reagan administration. In subsequent years, CNP meetings have played host to presidential aspirants like George W Bush and 1999 and Mitt Romney in 2007, and sitting presidents including Donald Trump in 2020.

In videos obtained by the Washington Post in 2020, the CNP executive committee chairman, Bill Walton, told attendees of the upcoming election: “This is a spiritual battle we are in. This is good versus evil.”

The CNP is so secretive, according to reports, that its members are instructed not to reveal their affiliation or even name the group.

Honestly? I think they want the publicity. They want that maverick mantle that this scenario will never grant them. They just need that microphone in front of their faces on an hourly basis.

They are the most vile of public servants.
