I wouldn’t shed a single tear for him. He will land nicely at some right wing think tank or some other nefarious operation. I laughed openly at the quote that he
“will no longer be associated with Trump World,”

Well, to be fair we were all thrilled when John McCain shot down Obamacare repeal a few years ago. So Republicans don’t always have their ducks in a row either. That’s the danger of a knife-edge majority: The leverage is out there for any one Senator to grab if they are willing to absorb the blowback. I personally Sinema is insane to go against her party like this if her long-term goal is to remain in the Senate and perhaps shoot for higher office someday. The smart play is to fake concern like Susan Collins and then eventually fall in line when your vote is needed. But she sees things differently I guess.

Exactly, that is why we never should get too identified with neither Team Blue or Team Red. That I prefer Democrats is because there is difference on who the donor are, although many give to both parties, but most importantly what constituency they choose to represent, and the GOP has positioned to be the party of @$$holes, racists and hypocrites .

A Trump donor accused Corey Lewandowski of repeatedly touching her and following her around on Sunday during a charity event.
- “He repeatedly touched me inappropriately, said vile and disgusting things to me, stalked me, and made me feel violated and fearful,” the donor, Trashelle Odom, told Politico.
Corey Lewandowski was just trying to burnish his credentials to win the Republican primary for NH Senator next year. His past antics weren’t amoral or gross enough to really capture the attention of the discerning Republican voter.

Not entirely OT because vaccine mandates are in the news, but Dear Hubby reported this morning that his lab and all of the American Red Cross will adhere to the federal mandate about all employees being vaccinated.
One would think this wouldn’t be a problem in an organization like the ARC, but there is one recalcitrant team member who has, to date, refused to get vaccinated. She has to wear a mask in the lab while everyone else can opt to go maskless. Dear Hubby wonders what will happen to this woman, as she is a single mother of three, but she is not one of the most reliable workers in the lab. She’s been able to get away with a lot in the lab, as well as several others, but Hubby has to wonder if this is where she either gets the vaccine or she finds work somewhere else.
