A two-track path for bipartisan infrastructure legislation and reconciliation? Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has no earthly idea what you’re talking about.

I understand that in the Marvel Multiverse, multiple seemingly contradictory story lines can be going at the same time. Perhaps Sen. Manchin simply exists in a universe where the bipartisan infrastructure legislation and reconciliation were never linked (And Kyrsten Sinema is a 5th level mutant…).
I hate this, but the Occam’s Razor explanation is the right one: both Manchin and Sinema know that, in this knife-edge D congressional majority, they can blatantly accept millions from Big Oil and Pharma, lie baldfaced, and receive zero punishment from Dem leadership, precisely because of that knife-edge majority.
I hate it, but it’s not complicated: the simplest, greediest explanation is the right one.
Color me shocked. Lewandowski shot down! However, like Bannon, nothing can pull him from TFG’s orbit, particularly not the accusations of a mere woman.
We can send the whole GOP Congregational delegation to Ulster and still have plenty clowns left.

Because the leadership and most every other Democrat and Republican in Congress accept millions from donors also. The donors may be different, but at the end of the day…most of them are bought.

There are 14 Democratic seats and 20 republican seats up for election in 2022. Republicans are defending two (2) seats in states that Biden won. Democrats are defending zero (0) seats in states that trump won. I feel confident that Fetterman will take Toomey’s seat - so there is one seat flipped (yeah, I’m countin chickens). I sure hope the Democrats win enough seats to make Sinema and Manchin irrelevant. Dems better gin up some outrage over what those two have done at their puppet masters’ behest. .
Oh…and for the third day in a row…fuck Sinema.

Manchin and that woman from Arizona, whatever her name is, should find themselves on the committee to investigate whale poop in Tommy’s Pond, and no other committees. They’d be far less valuable to the folks who bought them, that way.
I imagine Manchin et all tank the biggest part of Biden’s agenda. perhaps he hasn’t given it much thought but there will be a post tank period in which what was lost, not what was sought, will be the topic. He and his buddy from AZ may not find that light they want to bask in.
