BBB as a separate Bill is likely dead, especially since Manchin is definitely not negotiating in good faith. The best bet is this point is to put the FY22 provisions of BBB into the FY 22 Budget Appropriation Bill and dare Manchin and the GOP to shutdown the government if they don’t pass it by Feb. 18, 2022.

The past few years I feel like I’ve lost a significant amount of my humanity, my empathy, for certain groups of humans. I’m not proud of that.
Given the callous approach by the GOP and baby GOPrs Manchin and Sinema, if they happened to be run over by a coal truck or catch Covid and die… the very most I could muster for any of them would be a sigh of relief and doubtful hope that their replacements are not such shit stains on humanity.
And yeah, I get that it isn’t as black and white as I paint it… but from my perspective, these people have lost their way in the lust for power and money. I don’t see the Dems as shiny hero’s either, but they aren’t charging forward threatening the future of our country.

Get all of the blue dog senators in a room and get em on record about what they want in the reconciliation.
Leadership has the right to tell em to jog on, but getting em on record (even Sinema) > telling em to gfy.

Dems need to back burner BBB for now. Their majority was always tenuous. They need to tout their success in order to build their majorities and make Manchin and Sinema nonfactors.

It wouldn’t matter how thinly the BBB is sliced, or what tasty provisions that Manchin and Crazy K. suggested they might support with a tweak here or there, they will both refuse to support any new deal just like the old deal. They were never going to, and they’re never going to in the future. Stop feeding their special little game and ignore them while we bust our asses to elect a House and Senate that is so overwhelming we can govern without those who want us to fail at everything.
