Manchin Professes That He Might Endorse Trump’s Reelection

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), perpetually one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the Senate, made a typical conciliatory gesture to the Republicans in his home state by saying that he might endorse President Donald Trump’s reelection effort.

Per Politico, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is playing mediator to Manchin and Trump, trying to convince the President that Manchin is his best chance at getting legislation done with bipartisan support.

I shudder to think what that legislation might be.

Double standard again, I see,

Romney voting with the impeachment conviction was not bipartisan support. Manchin voting with the President is bipartisan support. Only counts when Trump wins, I guess.

Manchin even professed hope — against all evidence — that Trump will become a “uniter,” since “everybody can change.”

by any chance has he been late night dating dear Susan Collins?
I hear she has been looking for a few more “friends”

Per Five Thirty Eight, he votes in line with Trump’s agenda 53 percent of the time.

Overall, Manchin has voted with the GOP 53% of the time.

In the current Congress, he has voted with Trump 35% of the time.
the other WV senator, Shelley Moore Capito, has voted with Trump 100% of the time.

I’m going to say this now: Lindsey Graham needs to stay out of this.

Manchin’s performance art schtick is every bit as transparent as Susan Collin’s. They’re both trying to fool enough of the people enough of the time to stay in office. Add Ben Sasse to that repertory troupe too.
