Manchin Denies He Signed Off On Reconciliation Framework Before White House Released It | Talking Points Memo

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) on Tuesday pushed back at the notion that he signed off on the framework for a $1.75 trillion Build Back Better plan before the White House announced it last week.

He must get a little jolt of Republican money each time he pulls this shit.

Who is lying, Manchin, other Senators who said he did?

Senator Manchin, how about you just shut up. You are either part of the solution to this country’s problems and needs, or you are part of the problem. Every time you open your mouth you confirm that you are the latter.

I wonder if this guy wants McAuliffe to win tonight or what.

How the world sounds through Joe Manchin’s ears: "blah, blah, blah, Joe Manchin, blah, blah, blah, blah, Joe Manchin, blah, blah, blah.

“We’ll see what they do. They need to pass the bipartisan infrastructure bill,” he said, seemingly referring to House Democrats. “That shows good faith.”

The House hasn’t signed off on it Sen. Manchin and a House Majority never said that it did.

Frankly, he is disgusting.

“There was a couple of concerns that we had that we needed to work through”

That sounds a lot like having agreed upon a framework, unless you’re really more interested in being a wrench stuck in the gears

Wonder what would happen if they brought back fist fights on the Senate floor.

You’re the one who needs to show some good faith, motherfucker… I mean Senator.

Caning works too.

On May 22, 1856, the “world’s greatest deliberative body” became a combat zone. In one of the most dramatic and deeply ominous moments in the Senate’s entire history, a member of the House of Representatives entered the Senate Chamber and savagely beat a senator into unconsciousness.

Your move, Rep. Jayapal.

At this point, even Charles Sumner would open up a cane concession in the senate cloak room…

We hit Peak Manchin at his stupid presser yesterday. Sure, he can screw over his party and have as many tantrums as he wishes, but his credibility is gone. About all we learned from this entire drama was how intellectually lazy the man is. Stick and epi-pen in him, he’s done.

“No, the White House knew exactly where I stood,” Manchin
Oh Joe we all know where you stand, you stand for nothing but your own personal gain.

I mean he signed off on the entire two track process back in the day, and he reneges on that, too.

Word, and then some.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In a big win for the senator from West Virginia, congressional Republicans have named Joe Manchin Employee of the Month for October.

Speaking to reporters at the Capitol, Manchin seemed overwhelmed by the award, saying that he was “humbled and honored.”

“When I work hard to keep benefits out of the hands of poor children, I’m not doing it to win a prize,” he said. “I’m just doing what I love.”

Kyrsten Sinema, the senator from Arizona, sent her congratulations to Manchin after learning that she had been the runner-up for the award.

“I knew it wouldn’t be easy beating a great competitor like Joe,” she said. “Maybe next month.”
