This is my white whale and I’ve CAUGHT it!
While the House Clerk’s Office website continues to provide an old version of H.R. 1834 (which is obviously driving me nuts) I did finally find something official that purports to alter the text.
H.R. Amdt. 144 – published in the Congressional Record on November 12, 2025 – substituted the ACA subsidy extension language for all the other crap that is STILL being displayed on the House Clerk’s website (and now shown as having passed the House).
Expecting the current House to give a d*m about how a-Republic-if-you-can-keep-it should operate is futile and obviously not top of the queue right now. But, seriously, be better people! You should not be playing hide the peanut with proposed legislative texts.
