Clarance Thomas: Given the history and tradition going back to the founders it was ok to shoot at a stagecoaches and horses so shooting at vehicles is more than acceptable.
I take it that some of these ICE agents and their MAGA supporters watched too many bad cop shows and films in the 70’s and 80’s where the police recklessly and illegally shot at vehicles and people.

be careful, THOMAS..in the same time period it was also quite acceptable to lynch blacks who were considered’uppity’ have you forgotten the history..being married to white woman was the ultimate crime. it wasn’t too long ago that black men were murdered for even speaking to a whit woman… i’m really old, i remember those awful times.

While the House Clerk’s Office website continues to provide an old version of H.R. 1834 (which is obviously driving me nuts) I did finally find something official that purports to alter the text.
H.R. Amdt. 144 – published in the Congressional Record on November 12, 2025 – substituted the ACA subsidy extension language for all the other crap that is STILL being displayed on the House Clerk’s website (and now shown as having passed the House).
Expecting the current House to give a d*m about how a-Republic-if-you-can-keep-it should operate is futile and obviously not top of the queue right now. But, seriously, be better people! You should not be playing hide the peanut with proposed legislative texts.
