Yeah, a few thousand of them succeeded in getting away with it while a handful didn’t.
They will eventually go widespread violent. Probably within my lifetime.

Arizona has introduced legislation to allow the legislature to overturn the voters and send electoral votes to whomever they like.
The results of the recount, that will show an overwhelming Trump victory, will be used as justification to pass that into law, and serve as the model for other republican legislatures to follow suit.
It’s not about re-running 2020, it’s about ensuring that the voters can never again choose a Democrat for president.
The name Cyber Ninjas is super-classy and confidence-inspiring. Was Digital Dudes already taken?
My thoughts also. And it keeps Dear Leader in the limelight.
He wuz robbed. Think of what a marvelous Thousand Year Reich he would be creating now but for having been stabbed in the back.
To be self-deluding requires some considerable deficit in cognitive capacity. It’s roughly 40% of the populace.
Well of course. God always speaks to people who push teenagers down on the ground and tells others to inspect their testicles. Pretty sure Mary and Joseph had a conversation like that somewhere, or was it Luke?..
It’s why 45* supporters think that they are the majority - all the three main networks ever do is interview them or Republican politicians on every issue. I’ve never seen since W became president a regular joe/josephine liberal being interviewed on the street as to what they think.
That’s precisely the conclusion I keep coming to, but I keep thinking I’ve gotta be missing something. Oh, I get the much of this is just pretext for voter suppression efforts. I’m sure the plan is to ultimately tell their voters, “See, we fixed it! Now you can vote without having to worry about your vote being overturned.” However, I can’t imagine that there won’t be a significant number that say, “Yeah, we tried that. It was rigged and it still is. I’m gonna spend my Election Day cutting my dog’s hair into a mullet that matches mine.” Like you said, just 4% would be more than enough.
Look, for four years we had this president named Trump and every time he did something stupid and crazy a lot of people scratched their heads and tried to imagine some rational purpose for it. He was deflecting, he didn’t want people to be talking about this other thing, on and on. But as time went on most people realized he did all that stupid and crazy stuff because he was stupid and crazy. After he said maybe we could inject people with bleach, there was a steep decline in the rational purpose talk. Stupid and crazy. That’s what’s happening here.
Doggie-style?
Fox News already exists.
I have no idea why TPM simply parrots right-wing talking points with very little criticism or correction.
Sometimes, the front-page looks like sometime straight out of right-wing media.
They are delusional crackpots.
Trump himself, speaking to a crowd at Mar-A-Lago last week, remarked on the “interesting things” that were happening in Arizona.
Just like all the interesting things his private investigators found in Hawaii in regard to Barack’s true birthplace. Delusionals following a pathological liar. There were no PIs hired in Hawaii.
The great truth is that Satan’s Avatar fomented insurrection against the Constitution. He must pay dearly for that.
I must confess, on some level I do understand the desire to dispute the result and to look for some technicality or something to reverse it. That’s just how I felt 4.5 years ago. But instead of trespassing on the capitol building (with fatalities) or running around pretending to recount ballots, I gritted my teeth and waited for 4 years to vote that creep out of office. Now it’s their turn to grit their teeth and wait 4 years.
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help.
the GOP has thrown up their hands and chosen to operate like an organized crime entity - protection, extortion, bullying, arson, hijacking, blackmail … anything - literally ANTHING to sink their claws into chunks of power - mostly because the now know that they are conceptually bankrupt - and have no way to win a contest on an even playing field.
Test. Someone please like, thanks.
Oh, no they don’t!
I could read this article on my phone, but not on my laptop. but I can jump to it on my laptop via notifications. Go figure.
If just 4% of Trump’s 2020 voters had stayed home, the only state that would have turned out different is North Carolina (and just barely, at that). If 10% stay home, you also pick up Florida. The next closest state after that is Texas, where you would have needed to knock out 11% of Trump voters to flip the election to Biden.
As a matter of fact, a consortium of major newspapers did sponsor a recount post-election. They used a big accounting firm instead of the Cyberninjas llc.
Al Gore won, no matter what standard they used. Nobody cared.
This “audit” is for publicity to keep the issue alive with Republican rubes long enough, so it can be used to raise more money for the former guy. Former guy’s businesses are all losing money, but he has successfully raised $250M from the Republican based since he has vehemently denies he lost his re-election bid last November.
If this audit was a serious Republican effort, they would have hired a firm with a specialty with elections and vote counting, but no, the Republicans in the Arizona state Senate decided to hire a conspiracy theorist with absolutely zero experience with vote counting or auditing an election.
