When I first read about ‘regime change’ I misunderstood it to refer to BiBi. That would be progress.
It might be nice if Congress had some way to intervene before Trump drags the world into a war in the middle east that makes the war in Ukraine look tame.

More worrying, when the Feds take over the prosecution, convict and then Trump pardons him. The state should defy tradition (deferring to the feds) and carry on their case in parallel to ensure that a conviction and sentence hold.

I’m a little surprised that I haven’t actually heard anyone try to make a version of that argument here. Maladaptive copium and compound PTSD cause such reactions to what is objectively good news. I have seen a few of us reject the news as good, without going so far as saying it was actually good for the F.F. Baby steps?

This. I’m not one to blame violent video games for the murderous lean in our gun-worshipping society, but I also feel very uneasy at the proliferation of revenge plots in popular movies and TV shows.
Yes, there’s a strong visceral urge to seek justice, but in our entertainment choices that seems to have deteriorated into a “get my gun and kill somebody” kind of sickness. Even European movies and TV shows have been infected with this plotline, in which everyone carries a gun and at some point there’s a deadly shootout to resolve the story. I now skip right over any bit of “entertainment” in which the blurb focuses on revenge. Nope. Sick of it.

Protests.” The article cites exactly one putative Democrat, Matt Bennett, a founder of Third Way who used to work for Clinton, Gore, and Wesley Clark. Fraidy Cat Bennet said:
“The dangers outweigh the potential upsides for Democrats and for Trump, which is not a contradiction. Trump could go too far; he always does. And the protests could also—and already kind of have—go sideways for us.”
