I’m still chewing on Fearless Editor’s “The Biggest Loser” EdBlog, but when reading this part:

The thought suddenly struck me: This is our “color revolution.”
Like in Ukraine, like in Georgia, like in other ex-Soviet satellites, this is regular people coming together to say “no, fuck those corrupt oligarchs, we prefer the Western model of liberal (in the classic Poli Sci sense) democracy, thank you very much.”
It’s the Red, White, and Blue Color Revolution, motherfuckers!

Just gonna note here that not a single article I read on Saturday or Sunday mentioned the party of the targeted lawmakers. Just “state senator … and state rep …”. I immediately googled for the info when I read the first article about it, but I have to say I found it, uh, problematic that national news articles were choosing to elide that likely-relevant information for two freaking days.

Right Wing Influencer = some asshole who sits in his mother’s basement reading shit on the web. Occasionally he will respond to what he reads by posting something outrageously made up out of whole cloth in hopes his post will be picked up by others. It will be picked up because his circle of friends are all assholes like him reading shit on the web. They will repeat the most outrageous shit hoping to influence ever more deranged and deluded fools.
Once in a while a guy like Senator Mike Lee will pick up what the right wing influencer posts. That gives the RWI a reason to jack off. .
The real question is what does giving a right wing influencer a reason for a masterbatory climax make Senator Mike Lee?
Once in a while regular reporters who have no good reason to waste their time reading posts on the internet sees a repost of the influencer’s shit by politicians like Mike Lee and spreads the Right Wing Influencers unvetted shit without a care in the world.

I think when most of us were kids, we were taught that making up complete lies was a really bad thing to do. So we never practiced it much. I’m amazed that there are other humans who must’ve been encouraged in that skill all through childhood. Because it takes a very unique skill set to so completely and unreservedly tell such pernicious and destructive lies at a national level.
Me, I just think about the terror and horror those four human beings faced in the moment, as they stood opposite a trigger finger connected to someone so filled with hatred. How can such vile hatred be so openly supported by our fellow citizens? It boggles my mind as it breaks my heart.

It is a puzzlement. MAGA celebrates the assassinations of Democratic legislators … but goes into bizarre contortions to disclaim responsibility. Their people did it; the “movement” is proud of it … but they’ve got to blame the Lefties.
It’s almost as if they know they are bad, bad, very bad people who do bad things. Democrats and lefties ought to play on this psychological weakness.

Have you never been exposed to any popular entertainment, like teevie or movies or streaming, where the first and typically only solution is always the gun?
