I hope that Musk someday comes to realize that there’s a very wide gulf between “lacked empathy” and “was cruel and inhumane.” He needs to understand that before anyone even thinks about giving him credit for (sort of) standing up to Trump on issues that affect his personal wealth.

Let’s go back to the pos the senate bounced out today. Was it a Murkowski or Collins stunt? One or the other would have to be the shithead. If Collins did it she doesn’t have the wiggle room of M. M got a few BS gifts plugged in so she could yak about how she protected Alaska.

Yeah but - CEQA was just used as a delaying tactic from the NIMBYs and blackmail from labor unions to get them put on the project - either hire us or we’ll sue, plus other developers used it to delay competitors projects. It added at least a couple of years to any building project. It needed whacking. For big projects the assembly would vote to exempt them anyway, like the refurb of the state assembly office building, Levi Stadium, and anyone else who could bribe the politicians to exempt it. It takes a minimum of four years to get anything approved to be built here, which is insane.
