Note that this violates the Hatch act, federal employees are not allowed to make statements like this…though the Hatch act appears to be dead at this point, thanks to the Republicans not bothering to hold anyone in the administration responsible for their campaign activities as federal employees.
I’m sure they will fully investigate anyone in a Democratic administration who utters a single word that makes it sound like they are making a campaign statement for the Democratic president though…we just can’t have Democrats taking advantage of the Republican rule breaking, that just would be wrong. /s
Looks like the Dow fell almost 800 points today despite the Fed making a huge emergency rate cut…that doesn’t bode well for Trump and company. I saw a report that shipments into the Los Angeles port are down 25% in Feb, expected to be down 15% for the first quarter…that will reverberate through the economy for the next few months, likely become a drag no matter what the Fed tries to do.
Note that the Fed moved more aggressively here than they did during the recession…more shoring up of Trump and the Republicans? Sigh.
Azar is so irritating. He comes out and says that NIH has developed a coronavirus vaccine in 3 days, then Fauci has to walk it back, and explain, yes, still about a year to viable vaccine. Trump wants to hear that there is a vaccine in a few days.
["Here’s President Trump’s armchair analysis on Super Tuesday:
After accusing Democrats of trying to steal the nomination away from Sanders, Trump added that he ‘would’ve said two or three days ago Biden was not looking too good, now he’s looking better.’ "]
Here’s what I surmised by watching his rally last night. Trump thinks Joe may be the winner but he wants to get in enough innuendos that Bernie is getting screwed so Democrats keep fighting between themselves.
