Congratulations to our fellow Hivers up there. While the access to abortion issue is big, Wisconsin Democrats had been getting a taste of minority rule thanks to the ministrations of Robin Vos et al. The days of Walker and disgraced former WI Sup Ct Justice Michael Gableman recede further.

Yay!!! Good news for Wisconsin! Now put that newfound power to good use.

Trump arraigned.

Protasiewicz wins handily.

Hey, there’s almost two hours to midnight here in Eastern Daylight Time. Maybe the day can get better still?

(Note to self: Don’t eat all the good news at once. Save some for tomorrow and next week.)

Not quite yet. That gerrymander might give them a 2/3s supermajority in the senate, enough to convict after a kangaroo impeachment. Yes, they went there, full banana republic. That one senator race is a nailbiter at this point.

Too bad TFG had other things on his schedule these last few months since I’m sure he would’ve weighed in on this very important MAGA election …

Thunderstorms are forecast overnight, but I don’t care; it’s a beautiful evening in Madison and the whole damn state!

I hope WI, PA, and MI give other currently GOP-rigged states a path forward. It will take years but it can be done.

Yes - the district includes Mequon IIRC and I was surprised that it was actually purple now. I do not know whether they would try an impeachment of Gov. Evers at this point, but it’s unsafe to put things past them.

He wasn’t feeling so well tonight, apparently.

If Donald Trump was seething Tuesday morning when he appeared in court in Lower Manhattan, by the time he returned to Mar-a-Lago for his much-promoted prime-time speech, the former president was seething and tired and meandering. The teleprompter speech Trump delivered was low-energy, not just by his standards, but by nearly any standards — a routine, if grievance-filled, stump speech on a historic night. Speaking to a crowd of dues-paying club members and Trumpworld loyalists — some of his adult children, Roger Stone, a close coterie of 2024 campaign aides — Trump failed to harness the moment, or even offer compelling television. Some cable channels cut away from him mid-remarks.

Awww. Isn’t that too bad. :slightly_smiling_face:

First on the list would be the new supreme court justice. Fixing the gerrymander threatens their phoney-baloney jobs.
