I think the bigger question then becomes, how does Jordan move any kind of legislation after having to browbeat his own caucus into electing him?

If Jordan becomes the next speaker, this is very indicative of some very sad facts… this country, for all practical reasoning, basically has two presidents: Biden and TFG. It is also indicative the insurrection(coup?) was a success and now this country is painfully being governed by the insurrectionists in congress. If tomorrow’s floor vote succeeds, we are witnessing the end of democracy as we know it.

Politics sometimes attracts great people who want to do good stuff for people but mostly it attracts the dregs. Liars, money grubbers those looking for easy employment they can’t get fired from cuz they fuck up. It attracts people like George Santos and donald trump…posers who try to come off as superior extra smart with fabled super powers and such. It’s bullshit.
