Legal Experts Slam Judge’s Approval Of Trump’s Special Master Request

Donald cleared them.
Is there any reason we should allow a far left Democrat to overrule that?

It’s crazy to give that kid that car. He’s a great kid too. And Austin roads suck.

You don’t have to assume after the fact.
She already did contrary to “established law”.

Trump is the type of criminal who corrupts others, even so-called “honest” people (like judges).

I used the word corrupt as an adjective instead of as a verb.

It’s an important quality of a person like Trump. Not all criminals “corrupt” others the way Trump does…and Trump takes a wrecking ball to our society with that very verb

tRump only corrupts (verb) those willing to be corrupted…

ETA. You’re a young lawyer, not yet a partner. An offer for a federal judgeship comes in. Your willingness is blatantly obvious.

ETA2. This woman will be on the bench forty years.

Isn’t that just a verb in a modifying phrase? (sorry for grammar geeking)

Tell me you’re constitutionally-illiterate without bothering to read the fucking Constitution.

Good for Bijan. He’s one of the best players working his ass off in a game that generates billions of dollars in revenue off of his and his colleagues’ labor, and they absolutely deserve to get paid for it.

(And he has to pay taxes on it.)

In the past tense, yes.

It appears that understanding the Constitution in the United States is highly overrated when it comes to accumulating power, influence and $$$. How else can you explain Trump ? He doesn’t even understand the Espionage Act.

Maybe he’s right given how impotent our Judicial system is on prosecuting politicians and white collar criminals. This whole fucking thing is a joke.

Won’t work. I mean, NARA could intervene, but it wouldn’t fix venue in D.C. Per section 2204(e), “The United States District Court for the District of Columbia shall have jurisdiction over any action initiated by the former President asserting that a determination made by the Archivist violates the former President’s rights or privileges.” Fat Donnie’s lawsuit does not allege that the Archivist has done anything wrong, only the DOJ.

Fat Donnie only has them because they went through the White House. That they went through the White House means they are Presidential Records.

Tell me that you don’t understand how summary execution works while also explaining that you’re unfamiliar with the Fifth Amendment.

He’s already got Melania for that. In fact, isn’t that Melania in your photo?

Classified documents involving national defense like say, the Pentagon nuclear war plans didn’t originate in the WH. They were from other agencies and sent there for review.

I don’t see how that means they are Presidential Records, which should only pertain to records that originated there. Or am I missing something?

18 USC 2201 . . .

(2) The term “Presidential records” means documentary materials, or any reasonably segregable portion thereof, created or received by the President, the President’s immediate staff, or a unit or individual of the Executive Office of the President whose function is to advise or assist the President, in the course of conducting activities which relate to or have an effect upon the carrying out of the constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President. Such term–

(A) includes any documentary materials relating to the political activities of the President or members of the President’s staff, but only if such activities relate to or have a direct effect upon the carrying out of constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President; but

(B) does not include any documentary materials that are (i) official records of an agency (as defined in section 552(e) of title 5, United States Code; (ii) personal records; (iii) stocks of publications and stationery; or (iv) extra copies of documents produced only for convenience of reference, when such copies are clearly so identified.

This is where we should expect a heaping helping of:

“There’s no need for that because I’ve already declassified all of those documents!”

Ah, “received” by the President is the sticking point. Thanks.

I’m hearing that some of the division 1 NCAA basketball players taking the 5th year option are doing it for the $1mil-plus compensation. Better than taking 5 figures in the NBA G-league. About fucking time.
