Amid apparent infighting in the Oklahoma Republican Party, a resolution was passed over the weekend to formally condemn Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), who has caught the ire of Donald Trump supporters for working on the bipartisan immigration bill that Trump had asked congressional Republicans to spike.
The politics on immigration are going to be reversed by the end of the year. The GOP is make a grave error in tanking this deal. Biden now gets to campaign as the one that wants to close the border when the influx of immigrants is too great to process.
The entire Republican party is a bunch of idiots for bending the knee to their great and mighty moron. Heâs leading them over the cliff and itâs going to be so so sweet
Speaking as an expat Okie (living in Montana) this is not surprising at all. Oklahoma keeps descending further and further into right wing hysteria and paranoia.
It is somehow fitting that the Republicans find themselves between a rock and a hard place where rock, hard place, and their position between are pretty much all of their own making.
Pass bipartisan legislation that addresses what they claim is a âcrisisâ at the border, or kill it and lay bare that they are simply playing politics with a made up âcrisisâ for the sole purpose of campaigning for Trump on the issue of a fake âcrisisâ.
Poor Lankford. Cry me a river. Probably voted with tRump 99.9% of the time when he had the opportunity. StillâŚits never enough for these freaks.
Maybe I havenât been paying close enough attention to these Repukes lately but doesnât Lankford look a lot more blond and a bit more gaunt these days since heâs been in the Senate. Being an R in the Senate under the thumb of tRump sure has taken its toll on most of these pukes. Some of them begin to look as unhealthy as tRump. Maybe its contagious.
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend Donald John Trump against all enemies, foreign and democrat; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, with mental reservation for purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully cover up crimes using the office on which I am about to enter: So help me Trumpâ. (Hand placed on a copy of Art of the Deal)
Itâs a shame that the few adult Republicans donât ask (to paraphrase Henry II) Will no one rid us of this turbulent Orange Asshole (and draft dodger)?" If Trump dropped dead tomorrow, I doubt even his pond scum spawn would attend his funeral. Sad!
I donât often agree with Lankford on much of anything at all. But in this instance, he at least has the integrity to honor the responsibilities of the office he holds and the oath he took. Iâll tip my hat to him for that. But to be honest, I doubt Iâll ever have many other opportunities to do the same. I hope he enjoys his 15 minutesâŚin MAGA World, heâll be fortunate to get even a fraction of that.
