Lafayette Park Protesters Aren’t Federal Prisoners, But Prison Riot Teams Are There Anyway | Talking Points Memo

Not anyway, but on purpose. Trump and Barr have complete control over the violence and upheaval, they could make it go away by asking the militant police presence to remove itself, ordering the prison riot teams to go home and the national guard and other military members to stand down. I realize I’m picking nits, but the word “anyway” implies the violence and upheaval isn’t part of the their plan when I believe it is.

Bail set at $1 million for three ex-Minneapolis police officers charged in George Floyd case

Hennepin County District Court Judge Paul Scoggin set each of their bails at $1 million without conditions or $750,000 with conditions, which include surrendering any guns they have.

Not remembering or didn’t hear, but were the bail conditions for Chauvin the same or higher or what?

Wonder why his is lower than that of the accomplices? Not gonna worry about it, but it seems a little odd.

Once the wall went up those on the outside couldn’t get in but neither could those on the inside get out. Walls work and demonstrate why prison guards are appropriate. At least, some people see it that way.

I suspect it is because he can barely remain erect and has got medical issues enough that golfing has become very difficult. I saw him at that wreath ceremony and his Tinyman Square trudge to the Church. As a golfer myself, it isn’t easy if you have no balance and a demon possessed arm.

His initial charge, when bail is set, was only for 3rd degree…new charges for the 4 are for felony murder

Also, think about the self-selection process there. What kind of person would seek out a career path of suppressing prison riots?

Not an NPR tote bag in sight, I’ll bet you that much.

Unidentifiable forces are hallmark of authoritarian regimes.

How can you report about brutality/ abuse when you don’t know who did it.

That line yesterday was Lilly-white and looked like the spitting image of a Klan rally.
