In other news, since Ukraine isn’t the latest shiny object. Soldiers over 40? Does that smell of desperation?

Needs a camouflaged machine gun nest as well.

“Somehow the person that signs 5-6 pieces of loosing gun regulations in his state has the gall to complain about mental health is a fucking liar. Abbott could have insisted that the legislature allocate more money for mental health, in how many days of legislating since he’s been governor? “

I’m trying to find the article now, but didn’t Abbott remove 211 million from mental health services in TX?

The RWNJ’s constant calls for “hardening” only reflects their impotence, insecurity, and insanity. They are morally bankrupt.

Another way to light that fire, in the House, would be to end gerrymandering. But who knows when that will happen.

NRA supporting gun nut: “The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”

Danny Dorko: "Really? That’s the only way?

Gun nut: “Yep.”

Dorko: “Well, what about all of those times when the bad guy with a gun shoots himself after killing a bunch of people?”

Gun nut: “Well, that’s because the bad guy with the gun momentarily became a good guy with a gun.”

Dorko: “So, people with guns can change from being bad to good or good to bad from moment to moment?”

Gun nut: “Yeah. That’s right.”

Dorko: “And yet, you still think that it’s a good idea to arm more people with guns in order to stop all of the killing?”

In the most extreme cases, it’s grooming them to become mass murderers themselves.

Photos but pixilated?

To many of these gun enthusiasts, it is not the gun at fault it is “evil” at fault. The shooter was full of “evil” to take up that gun to do what he did in that school. Our problem is that we need Jesus in school. If the schools would teach Jesus these shootings would never happen. This is exactly what I have been told by several 2nd Amendment believers. It is “evil” that is causing all this trouble.

When I point out in the Bible that there is no mentioned of guns and Jesus was a pacifist, therefore he would not have a gun, they go bonkers. I ask them to please point out in the Bible where Jesus picks up a weapon and there is total silence. So, my question to them why do you think Jesus would approve of this mess we have with these assault weapons and why do you think he would take your side in this argument.

J.D. Vance seems to offer the following solution: Ban porn, but equip more people, including teachers and security schools, with more guns. WTF??

Gov. Greg Abbott said Wednesday that the Uvalde school shooter had a “mental health challenge” and the state needed to “do a better job with mental health” — yet in April he slashed $211 million from the department that oversees mental health programs.

In addition, Texas ranked last out of all 50 states and the District of Columbia for overall access to mental health care, according to the 2021 State of Mental Health in America report.

Imagine if wheelchairs, crutches and braces failed at a similar rate. Abbott would be going after the Consumer product safety commission and urge action.

Nihilists, too. The air raid drills we experienced in school in the 60’s were due to the threat of a known foreign enemy. Now the unknown enemy lives next door, or down the street or sits next to you in class. It is unbearable.

I don’t think it’s an issue if the families of the victims decide it’s appropriate and are happy to join the effort.

I advocated for this a few days ago.
