I personally feel for Falone and the other officers who had to confront these rabid morons and defend our institutions of government from their Trump-induced onslaught.
There’s been a chorus of GOP calls to “move on” from the attack,
Citing the historical examples of President W moving on from 9/11 and the GOP moving on from Benghazi. “Now is not the time to talk about” insurrection, it would only politicize the tragedy.
Is Kinzinger trying to appeal to a sense of decency here? He doesn’t strike as that stupid, so I’m gonna call this some fairly heavy shade.
Just as a reminder, Officer Fanone was dragged down the Capitol steps into a mob who beat him, screamed “Shoot him with his own gun!”, repeatedly tased him on his neck, caused him to suffer a heart attack, and was only saved when he cried out “I have kids!”

You go right ahead and investigate BLM, idiots; they were not rampaging through the Capitol on January 6. They were peacefully protesting police violence against black citizens. The mob in the seat of our government was just that.
No question about it: everyone there wanted a piece of any police officer, congress critter or vice president they could lay their hands on.

Having them go off on a tangent to investigate BLM for the 1/6 insurrection would be like including the IRA and the Tamil Tigers as part of the 9/11 commission report.
