The difference in the Bush case was that Bush’s problematic records were supposedly burned in a trash can, leaving only secondary evidence such as the Killian documents, which were likely forged. In the same period he was charged cocaine possession, and tried as a 26-year-old minor to seal the record and allow for community service. There was a systematic effort to scrub Bush’s records before he was elected. Here, Trump and Kushner’s bank records are intact, and certainly cover the period from 2011 forward when you a) had Russians very active in burying assets abroad, b) the rise of the siloviki that turned Russia away from its pursuit of becoming a normal country, and c) the mysterious rehabilitation of Trump even as no local lender would touch him. Historically, it may look like O’Donnell jumped the gun, but there is a real possibility that the facts he asserted will be proven by hard evidence. When he does, NBC will go back to treating the reveal as a scoop.
“I think it would be very disloyal to people that are Trump fans, people who voted for me, people that are going to vote again,” Trump said.
…
OK, now we know he represents only 30% of America.
…
“So I don’t understand – so if Fox comes on and they’re critical of one … If somebody comes on and they’re critical of one thing about you – it never used to bother you like this,” the Fox host said.
Brian ya dummie ya gotta remember this isn’t the Apprentice anymore and poor donnie is under tons of pressure y’see…
Name one. Besides Putin.
Which is weird since Trump generally has no problem lying.
It was okay with Kilmeade when Trump was calling other media sources “fake news”, but now that the rooster has come home, they don’t like it so much. And ironically enough, they’re the chief purveyors of high bullshittery.
Yes. Think that’s right. With a scoop that sensational he should have had a second source. Now he’s had to walk it back, contributing to “fake news” narrative.
I don’t doubt it’s true. Demonstrating it convincingly is something else again.
I agree wholeheartedly.
O’Donnell didn’t just walk in off a farm yesterday. He was an aide to Senator Moynihan and Staff Director of the Senate Finance Committee in DC, and was also a producer/writer for The West Wing. He wasn’t clueless about what he was doing.
For him to put a single-sourced story out there without pre-approval from his NBC bosses and attorneys suggests to me there’s some sort of method to his madness here. Perhaps baiting Trump? Perhaps foreshadowing what we are about to learn in the fall as the impeachment investigation continues? As much as we have complained about the lack of alacrity in the investigation, it does seem (to me) there’s a strategy in place and we’re about to see it begin to unfold this fall. I believe Democratic House members coming out for impeachment investigations in a drip-by-drip fashion is a part of a coordinated effort.
Why is someone who cheers on a bully surprised when the bully does to him what he has watched the bully do to countless others? Even never being in the least disloyal won’t save you if it is in the bully’s interest to attack you.
tRump (it has repeatedly been pointed out) is not smart enough for ‘3 dimensional chess’, but O’Donnell is. And second source or not, the information is out there.
tRump will never understand the “Streisand effect”.
On CNN they had an interview with Carl Cameron, who was part of the News Division of Fox in 2017:
“That’s the kind of thing that makes the news department at Fox News, where I worked for a number of years, sick to their stomachs,” Cameron replied.
“News people don’t like to hear that stuff,” he explained. “The entertainment side, on the other hand, is vastly different and it’s a threat to them. And Trump is basically challenging the Sean Hannitys of Fox News to beat up on the journalists. That’s not going to work either.”
…even the ‘news’ side of Fox considers Hannity, Carlson, et al entertainers. ![]()
So Kilmeades comparing trumps presidency to that of a apprentice game show host? …thats a good one…
It would be disloyal for him to be interviewed by CNN…do het hink that this kind of divisiveness will increase his base?
Right? The transcript reads like Kilmeade’s terrified to disagree with the guy. Some confrontation.
(Maybe the recording seems more challenging to him, but no way i’m gonna listen. The less I hear out of the mouth of Tweedledum or any of his fawningg Tweedledees, the better)
Yes.
All of them, Katie
Maybe people imagine that if they talk a Russian oligarch’s business on the street there’s a non-zero chance they’ll be murdered because of it. Just spitballing here. ![]()
O’Donnell very carefully stated “This is single-sourced and has NOT been verified, BUT, …”
What he did WRONG was he didn’t use the FOX News strategy of stating: “Some Say That…”
You are actually calling THAT “mild, barely disagreeing, slightly, only if you look at it sideways” statement as CONFRONTS?!?!?!
REALLY!?!?!?!?
That is the most weak, milquetoast, cowardly, “please don’t hit me Daddy” confrontation I have ever seen.
Kilmeade just LICKED it, instead of outright SUCKING IT, and you call that CONFRONTATION?!?!?
The token non-blonde one.

"Trump responded by suddenly berating his favorite target, CNN, which he claimed had “begged” him to do an interview.
The President said he refused to do so because it would be “disloyal” to his supporters."
This is the story. 45* thinks of himself only as the president of his 41%, not the country.
