Kilmeade Confronts Trump After POTUS Complains About Fox Coverage

Well, “no” would be a lie.

And we all know Trump never lies. Kayleigh McEnany said so.

Given the amount of Foxheads going in and out of the administration, plus the retweets, Fox is the feeder in this case. Also, Trump being the “stable genius” and all…

““I think it would be very disloyal to people that are Trump fans, people who voted for me, people that are going to vote again,” Trump said.”

In other words, Trump admitted, in his own tangential, aphasic, incoherent thinking manner, that the reason it now bothers him when he’s criticized, but didn’t before, is because he has a campaign that Faux News is supposed to be supporting whole-hog with propaganda.

And all of this could have been a nothing burger if Trump had just released his taxes.
So having said that it leads me to again believe that Trump didn’t release his taxes because he thought he wouldn’t win and needed to keep that info in house so he could continue on in the manner in which he’d been operating for years.
And does Trump truly believe that after the 2020 election if he loses he can just pick up and do business as he has always done? Or if he wins does he really think that he can go back to doing ‘business’ just like before?

Putting on my conspiracy hat, is this all part of the script? President attacks Fox early in the election cycle, Fox fights back to show they are “independent and true reporters”, everyone starts to believe Fox has changed, then a few months before the election Fox turns on its heels and reverts to being Trump’s Pravda. The sheep go along and believe Fox is once again telling the “truth” and Trump is reelected.

Trump’s lawyers threatened legal action.

O’Donnell’s point was that finally there appeared to be hard evidence of how Trump’s money-laundering operation works, a system of layering and loan guarantees that avoids the need for international transfers and appears on the books as “loans.” This has long been suspected, so nothing earth-shattering. What struck me was the failure to get a second source for confirmation. Like, “Ok, dude, you’re telling me this. Can you give me the name of somebody else who corroborates this?” Investigative Journalism 101.

Yes.

Agreed. O’Donnell can be especially pig-headed in that familiar Boston Irish way (same here!). No ideas other than his are any good, and humility is at knifepoint only!

I was surprised how efficiently he handled the topic and then moved on, but I noticed at no time did he say that the assertions were false. I do expect them to be true once further confirmation is forthcoming. It sounded like a legal issue with the network rather than an issue of veracity.

That is worth considering. But a KNOWN fact is everyone becomes Chump’s enemy. There hasn’t been the idiot born yet that will believe or do or countenance everything Chump does. And when that time comes, they become his enemy.

Usually it is only a matter of weeks before he is trying to get them to commit felonies, and when they balk…enemy.

I think the random smudge of something else on Brian’s chin might explain it.

Threat…yes. Will they want the whole thing cracked open for inspection when they BRING legal action? No

I would like to find, one time in the last 50 years, that Chump DIDN’T have a “lawyer” threatening legal action.

This makes some sense. It could have also been a classic ratf*cking operation, a la the Bush Texas ANG documents: a piece of discreditable info is leaked in order to muddy the water about any subsequent evidence – should it come to light – that might be legitimate proof of wrongdoing. Once O’Donnell retracted his reporting, any news now on Trump’s tax returns can be handwaved away as “more fake news lies” that “even Lawrence O’Donnell had to admit was wrong,” etc. Wash, rinse, repeat.

OT: Reuters is reporting that both cameras surveilling activity in and around Epstein’s cell “malfunctioned”.

Why would I listen to that interview? Why would I do that to myself? I spend 70% of my news watching time either fast forwarding through trump or muting him, if it’s not something I DVRd.

Yeah, why he didn’t do his homework isn’t clear. Could be it was a source he knew and trusted, or perhaps is wasn’t possible to get confirmation without burning his source, so he decided to run with it anyway. NBC got spooked by Trump’s lawyers and made him retract.

In that pic, he looks like an angry old woman. I normally like angry old woman, but not him.

“Confronted”? Confronted?? Apparently the headline writer has never been confronted.
