Catch 22: they have a right to do anything we can’t stop them from doing.

And this is going to happen preferentially in corrupt red states where AGs have fewer scruples and courts are not as quick to rein them in. Imagine a bunch of uniforms showing up at Leonard Leo’s multiple residences – not going to happen like this, because belief in the rule of law and the constitution.

If not Ken, then who?

Wow, just wow. Will Paxton go after every gynecologist in the state of Texas, and in all the other 49 states? Will he then proceed to the gym teachers and school nurses that inform kids on what is going on with their bodies as they grow. I mean gender affirming care is care targeted to genders, all genders, all through childhood and beyond.

Having an AG like Paxton is like what we suffered with Arpaio here in Maricopa County for years and years. They use the facade of “the law” to do hundreds of unlawful things and then give you the finger and say, “What are you going to do about it”? Arpaio also survived way beyond his shelf life by gathering secrets and planting evidence on his enemies - he was feared and reviled, but as long as he kept exercising cruelty against migrants he was re-elected time after time.

Trump, Paxton and all of the other monsters who make their careers out of this kind of hate don’t really want ALL the immigrants gone. After all, who would mow Trump’s golf courses or install Ken’s new swimming pool? They just want to keep them terrified enough to never go to the law for anything, no matter how many times they are abused. Basic serfdom 101.

Ken knows that if the Democrats regain control in Texas he’s going to prison.

weaponizing the government against citizens

That is the entirety of the Republican plans for America. You only think you’re part of the tribe.

Pope Francis called Paxton’s efforts “madness, sheer madness.”

Texas Catholics, are you Christian anymore?

Being cruel is their entire existential objective! Do you actually expect them to be so silly as to simply enjoy life? To live and let live? To turn the other cheek? To do unto others as we expect other to do unto us? To be good, ethical Christians??? Fuck that! These people are Christian soldiers! That means they develop weapons to harm other people who they don’t like! In the name of God! (Or T rumpp, which is the same thing in their little minds.)

Evil I agree. Perverted even.

On the other hand, Ken’s game plan will give us a way to shut down the Heritage Foundation.

Make that a promise, and i’ll  your comment.

“they think that their power is unlimited”

The core motivator of Republican government. Push power as far as imaginable. If questioned, claim an exception applying to their specific need.

“This decision only applies to the Bush-Gore election.”

The analysis is possibly an undercount. The attorney general’s office said it has not consistently maintained a list of the Consumer Protection Division’s demands to examine records

So many they can’t keep count.

That’s funny. You’re implying that far right fascist AGs have any scruples at all.
