Before he was obediently helping ex-President Donald Trump stonewall the House Jan. 6 Committee’s investigation into the Capitol insurrection, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was privately stressing the need for an investigation in the days after the attack.
I have to wonder how many R’s (both in politics and out) are secretly hoping for TFG to be indicted, convicted and imprisoned, so they don’t have to deal with him any more.
What they haven’t planned for, is the Trump 2024 campaign, run from a Georgia State Prison.
Cults don’t mind lying…it’s just another tactic to get what they want. That means that their connection to the truth is conditional. That means that conventional logic (using facts to change perceptions) is weakened…So RWNJ people are not going to be swayed by these news revelations.
But then again, who in their right mind is still referencing swaying Cult members?**
What we are trying to do is to inform those who are not Cult members but, for a number of reasons, are less tuned into the day-to-day business of politics (like wonks are).
Witnessing a miracle before our eyes…how does he remain upright without a spine…? Added bonus…he is aspiring to be the next speaker of the house…completing the further degradation of our traditional institutions.
I’ve been thinking this for a while now. If you injected truth serum into every GOP member of Congress and asked whether they would like Trump to run again or go to jail, all but about 15 or so would probably tell you that they wish he’d go straight to hell.
My word is my bond, except when it’s not. There is no i in team but there are two i’s in integrity. Kevin is a true team player on Team Integrity. Whatever benefits him is the moral, ethical path to take.
Either that or he is one of the dumbest morons to ever hold elective office.
They made their Faustian bargain with the devil in the 15’-16’ primaries, eventually feeling it was the only path to beat Clinton. We’re all stuck with the wreckage in the aftermath.
“We cannot just sweep this under the rug. We need to know why it happened, who did it, and people need to be held accountable for it,” he (McCarthy) said. “And I’m committed to making sure that happens.”
… … … …
Sure would be cool if that rug had a rational logical brain.
I actually look forward to this, it should be fascinating. Utterly delusional, and seemingly just as likely to harm their standing as burnish it, but fascinating.
