5 months is tougher?!?!

Let’s just hope that his sentence isn’t stayed until an appeal is heard. If not, he’ll likely serve most of that time.

He wasn’t actually at the January 6th insurrection, he just helped to promote it. He’s mostly charged with burning a BLM banner.

155 days ok I guess. Hopefully, he gets some souvenirs from his stay that last a lifetime.

Guess this former federal informant didn’t um, inform, this time. No flippy no walky.

And…illegally carrying a high-capacity ammo magazine in D.C.

I’m sure the DC jail population is already planning his welcome ceremony.

Fake remorse is not remorse. Insincere remorse is not remorse. Trying to save your ass with desperate pleas is not remorse. Remorse after being convicted of a crime is self-serving. No mercy!

D.C. jail is not Club Fed. Five months there might convince him that he really should give up rodeos.

The article doesn’t say what sentence, less than 155 days, the government wanted.

It hardly gets mentioned, but can you imagine how horrific the Jan 6 insurrection would have been if DC didn’t have strict gun laws. And the mob knew that, and didn’t come armed. Imagine if DC was an open-carry jurisdiction. Tarrio was arrested for possession of empty magazines and barred from returning to the city.

Even then, 5 months is not enough.

We should be talking years here, not months!

It was a hate crime any way you cut it.

That was precisely my initial reaction.

But it was just a little hate crime. No, that doesn’t work, either. He should have had 2 years, minimum, because 5 months is not enough to have a conversation with himself. Two years and behavioral counseling seems better.

I wonder if there will be conditions placed on Mr. Tarrio after his fulfillment of his sentence?

That would help.

Wasn’t he once an informant for law enforcement?
