A South Florida federal judge (not that one) on Friday dismissed a complaint filed earlier this year from President Trump in which he accused everyone who had offended him during his political career of wrongdoing.
It’d be absolutely delicious for those who constantly complain about “frivolous lawsuits” to find themselves on the receiving end of their own, well-aimed boomerang!!?!
Middlebrooks also wrote that Trump had opened himself up to potential sanctions for filing the complaint.
Those may be monetary, or have to do with orders related to the attorneys who filed the case’s professional standing.
he is seeking to flaunt a two hundred-page political manifesto outlining his grievances against those that have opposed him, and this Court is not the appropriate forum
Well, with the Unabomber, The New York Times and Washington Post published the manifesto in the hope that someone will recognize the person. We know who wrote Trump’s screed, so why give a known terrorist a forum at all?
A person in my homeowner’s association did the same thing when he filed a defamation of character charge against anybody and everybody who he considered against him. When you make a laundry list of targets and you lose, all those attorney fees add up. He lost almost a million dollars in his foolishness, not a wise move for a retiree.
Donald J. Trump Playbook: Abuse, play the victim, abuse again, play the victim again, abuse again and again, play the victim again and again. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
Litigants can be barred from initiating litigation without a court’s prior approval. One District Court judge can’t do that for the entire federal judiciary, but barring Trump from further litigation in this district would be a start, and would send a message. That, and sanctions for the lawyers on the complaint.
