Judge Ridicules Trump Lawsuit As Yet Another Grievance Manifesto

How does he find lawyers who’ll debase themselves so thoroughly, when they have to consider a horse for payment?

The Trump audience…They’re the purpose of the rallies.

I was once at a concert. Both the opening act and the main artists were great.

but we weren’t the show

ETA…someday, someone will unlock the secret of the attraction of people like Trump…yes, I understand every single one of us knows the secret. But I believe that the abyss we are now in is related to us not knowing in the sense that it can be combated.

100% guaranteed that Alina Habba and her co-conspirators took this on purely for the MAGA cred.

“they spied on my campaign”

That was investigated ad nauseam and zero evidence of that was found. However the Trump campaign ended up with the DNC’s PRIVATE emails and no ones talking about that bit of spying.

In that case, I hope it ultimately ends up costing her a LOT in lawyer fees for her own defense…

That way, she would have gotten the fees she so richly deserves – negative ones (and hopefully VERY negative!).

Most lawyers are really bad at lawyering. And some of those really bad lawyers think Trump might be their meal ticket even though he’s never going to pay them. And it’s not an insane move. I mean, there are plenty of people in Trump’s orbit who have money and get sued.

Last I checked though, Jesse Binnall is still operating out of the space above the falafel restaurant.

He got some mail-in ballots tossed in PA. Not enough to change results, but still ABSOLUTE PROOF OF FRAUD IN 2020 ELECTION FROM MAIL-IN VOTING MAGA MAGA MAGA!

Well she sure as hell didn’t do it as a serious legal effort. Maybe one day she’ll catch on to the fact that hitching her future on a fading star is not a wise thing to do.

Hmm, does the Michigan Supreme Court order requiring the reproductive rights measure to go on the ballot count? Basically accuses the republican board members of abuse of office.

Definitely in the same tone.

Judge Middlebrooks wrote. “Instead, he is seeking to flaunt a two hundred-page political manifesto outlining his grievances against those that have opposed him, and this Court is not the appropriate forum.”

Isn’t this how one settles their hurt fees, fees? I’m mean this is Trump to a “T”.

Ridicule is good. Sanctions are better.

If the courts don’t want to be deluged with MAGA delusions, they need to sanction every single lawyer who brings such a case before them.

Given that this district is the former occupant’s preferred forum for judge shopping, that might be quite an interesting wrinkle. I presume any judge in the district could okay litigation, though, not just the one who issues the sanction.

Loose cannon would probably okay every potential suit, but it’d be interesting to make her get her hands dirty every time

A variation on “when all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.” When the only way you ever fight is with a roomful of lawyers, you think a roomful of lawyers is the only way to solve all your problems.

"Middlebrooks also wrote that Trump had opened himself up to potential sanctions for filing the complaint. "
… … … … … …
That would be nice.

Not until Indictment and arrest are done.

That’s right after the Airing of Grievances.

In all seriousness, the most likely sanction is having to pay the other side’s defense costs. Which, given the many defendants and the many claims and the two full rounds of motion to dismiss briefing, should easily add up into 6 figures.

Kudos to the oft-maligned headline writers.
