Jenna Ellis Takes Plea Deal In Georgia RICO Case - TPM – Talking Points Memo

Ellis has admitted she made false statements in the run-up to Jan. 6… Afterwards, Ellis tweeted that she did not lie…

Law is morality. Morality is law.

Apparently, both can be word-parsed to justify any behavior.

If you’re a black woman, there’s a high probability you’ve had to deal with people who think they’re inherently superior to you, and who are used to bullying people like you out of the way and having society back them up.

If you’re a white man, you’re less likely to have had that experience.

So when faced with Trump, the white man doesn’t know what to do, and folds. (Exceptions obviously exist - see Jack Smith).

The black woman says, “I’ve seen this move before. You got anything else? No? Too bad, so sad.”

" Because (sniff) all I was was a selfish, racist attorney who just wanted to get a lot of attention. I mean (applies handkerchief to eyes) of course I love money and power, but when I signed up to represent a notorious cheater, liar, and …(sobs) I mean, I could see he was a complete idiot, but, but he was our idiot and I felt it was important for the nation that he remain so. I just wanted to be the consulting law person on Fox. Was that so wrong?"

I don’t know, she was also worshiping a golden calf.

There’s a reason why the first commandment is right at the top Jenna.

Not happening. There are already plenty of witnesses testifying to trump’s involvement in both the conspiracy to defraud and the conspiracy to fuck up Congress’s shit. There is nobody who can plausibly take the fall for everything we already know (and knew in real time) about trump’s criminal conduct.

Not surprising that the lawyers were first to realize their jeopardy.
I’m starting to hope that I will see trump go to prison. State prison. Georgia state prison.
I am hopeful.

Remember that time trump knew he had tested positive for covid and he still went and stood next to Joe Biden unmasked while ranting and raving for 90 minutes and then he hilariously almost died a few days later?

The notion that trump is concerned about some prosecutors coming down with covid is beyond absurd.

Four convictions and the trials haven’t started yet.

I assume these lawyers are intelligent people, but they were dumb as rocks to buy into this bullshit about a stolen election.

As if he would. He would probably hold them in the low regard he has for injured, captured or dead soldiers.

I knew this was going to happen.

HA! How much hair dye is Rudes emitting today, I wonder?

If he were smart, he would be first. The only one with a possibility of getting off is Trump. He is Teflon and everyone is afraid to jail a president. The rest… they are sol.

I second the motion. There is nothing to gain for any of these criminals to fall on their swords for Trump. Trump can’t pardon state crimes either, so no future gain or saving grace here.

She seemed serene and smiling throughout that hearing, but as soon as she stood up to speak she started crying

This is akin to Trump’s “lawyers” claiming that because the sun rises in the east, a trial postponement is necessary until the sun rises in the west.
