“If I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump.” She’s certainly the first lawyer to say that, nor, I think it’s safe to say, will she be the last. By the time this is all done, it’s going to be a long line.
She’s handing out misdemeanors left and right! That’ll teach the MAGAs not to steal elections!

I’ll bet that Giuliani is fuming over her taking a plea deal.
Naw, the red plastic wrap will hid the ketchup better. And as a bonus can then compliment Mel’s preferred Xmas decorating style.
Great Value
Ellis and Chesebro pleaded to felonies, yes?
Yes, his flatulence no doubt has transitioned into actual soiling himself.
They’re going to have to create a special line at the probation department just for Trump’s former attorneys.
Is it possible that the attorneys for the defendants have a fairly clear idea of when and how to get under the wire before the felonies and jail time begins to be handed out? Looking for an opinion; not an attorney, never played one on TV, and don’t know the ins and outs of this kind of trial.
Misty Hampton and Cathy Latham, if they have not made their appointment they should hurry up, it would be a shame if they ended up doing time when everybody else in the Coffee Co breach pleaded guilty and got probation.
“And you shall know them by the company that they keep”
“If I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump,” Ellis said.
The one shining light for her is to know she is not alone. In fact, she is in a crowd. They can have annual conventions and meet and greets. Group vacations and club shirts.
It will be a jury trial and that’s always a gamble. Just one MAGAt sneaking past the voir dire selection process and everyone skates. Even if convicted, there is the chance of a successful appeal.
It may also be a case of who can afford continuing legal expenses, and who can’t. Ellis was griping about not getting legal help from Trump, and Powell is facing a lawsuit from Dominion.
^ Was it Trump’s trashing gold star families, making fun of disabled people, saying he wanted to bang his own daughter, lying about a hurricane path, outing classified info to the Russian ambassador, or killing Americans by lying about COVID, all shit he did before the election, that clued her in to the fact he might not be the best client to take on?
It’s funny how Trump has been able to intimidate white male prosecutors over time yet has been unable to crack the secret to black women prosecutors. Theories?
Or fumigating?
Aye it’s the prisoner’s dilemma within wheels: betrayal is the best bet and these chumps may realize they have been effectively betrayed in one place so they better get in line for the other.
No-time felonies to be expunged upon completion of probation, yes?
Don’t get me wrong, it’s good that they’re rolling up these people. It will make them all useful and available to the J6 prosecutors in D.C. But none of this is especially likely to land trump in a Georgia prison cell. Jenna Ellis was a third-tier assistant flunkie and fart receptacle, not a serious player. I’ll get a lot more interested if Ms. Willis can flip Clark and Eastman (which probably isn’t going to happen absent a global resolution including the Special Counsel’s office).
I’m hoping Roger Stone holds his hand over a candle flame for 6 minutes.
