This is POS (point of sale) software. All the grocery stores are using some form of it. We’re a regional chain (only in MA and CT), so there isn’t that kind of money to spend on bandaids. They really should just get the upgrade and be done with it.
Discovery of the prosecution’s evidence and anything potentially exculpatory is a constitutional right, even while incarcerated pretrial. Access to porn while incarcerated is not a constitutional right.
Neither is gaining revenue from creating litigious content and putting it out into the world while incarcerated. Doesn’t sound like DC is much of a jail if this could happen there.
Prisoners get away with all kinds of stuff while locked up.
They sure do seem to have a nice set for this podcast filmed in a jail they describe as a “gulag”. Seems a far cry from the smuggled samizdat of yore.

The critical thing to keep in mind here…these people are convicted criminals serving time for crimes they committed.All of the foldoral created by these stunts wont change the realities they will face in their lives in the years to come.
