Jan. 6 Panel Is In Talks With Pence’s Counsel About Testifying

Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Schiff (D-CA), who serve on the Jan. 6 Select Committee, on Sunday said that the panel has been in discussions with former Vice President Mike Pence’s counsel about his potential testimony. Last week, Pence said he would consider testifying before the committee if he was invited to do so.

In his defense he can say " I did my job fuck you."

I’m not so sure. He doesn’t sound entirely sure himself what he wants to do.

Public statements by him sound as much like tentative trial balloons as they do anything else. If he gets push-back from people he thinks he needs on his side in order to have anything like a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning the nomination for President, he probably won’t testify.

That’s very “fly” of him!

Pence’s adoring gaze at Donnie when he was VP was similar to Nancy Reagan’s adoring gaze of her Ronnie. Will Pence have the integrity to own up to the truth? Will his fidelity to the U.S. Constitution and the country be put above his party and his personal political ambitions? Only Mother knows.

He may hear equally forceful suggestions that testifying would be a way to get some much-needed attention and respect from other people he needs on his side for a snowball’s etc. If he actually did two right and proper things in a row, people might sit up and take notice in a way I doubt they ever have before.

I wonder whether the individual who brought and installed the gallows on the Capitol grounds to hang Pence has been arrested. It is just a matter of time before they become a martyr to the christian white nationalist movement.

Could be a juvenile ploy.

Get the invite, and then turn it down, just to get cheap points from MAGAts.

I wouldn’t put that past him.

Another individual with more of an ability to chart a narrative (as opposed to being overly attuned to what others thick) may have pulled off a chance to assert himself. Probably Quayle could tell us more.

Who’s to say Quayle hasn’t already spoken with the Committee?

The fact he believes he has the slightest chance of winning is incredibly naive on his part.

The MAGAt’s hate his fucking guts.

The “invite” would be a courtesy, a courtesy backed up by subpoena and criminal referral for contempt.

Pence wallows in his own platitude pushing. Soaring, sound-nice rhetoric coming from a coreless human being. Pence is a phony’s phony.

Mike just couldn’t understand what they were saying:

At the Iowa State Fair, he thought they were saying - "Thank Mike Pence!"
