What’s today’s drinking word?
And who’s in charge of the bingo cards? I will take two or three.
I hope that it’s not a word that’s said too frequently.
I accidentally dipped into my January 6 Hearing cabernet last night, and might not have enough to last the whole two or so hours.
Trump said McCarthy made a “bad” and “very foolish decision.”
Said Trump as if he didn’t encourage if not demand that McCarty withdraw the GOP committee nominees.
Trump deserves every bit of chaos caused by the almost daily revelations how far he went to overturn the 2020 election results even after the safe harbor date. His law-breaking is supported in detailed sworn testimony much from highly credible Republicans.
How much longer will those in the media keep broadcasting his self-serving propaganda? For the record, the J6 committee is not “just on a witch hunt.” His attempts to distract, put blame on others, and to shroud himself with compliant lawyers are wearing thin.
My feelings on Ginni Thomas draw on my experience as a historian.
There often is very little one can do dealing with people possessing a seeming immunity from being held accountable, legally.
On the other hand, those same individuals have not escaped the judgement of public opinion.
Ask the J6.
Today’s hearing will not be pretty for Trump. That might be why he’s doubling down his efforts to discredit the committee in recent days — and pointing the finger at someone else.
Which one?
From a November 2020 Vanity Fair article by Lysandra Ohrstrom, who went to school with Baby Girl. Ivanka has always been a lying mean girl, just like her dad:
“One of the earliest memories I have of Ivanka from before we were friends is when she blamed a fart on a classmate. Some time later, she goaded me and a few other girls into flashing our breasts out the window of our classroom in what has since been labelled the “flashing the hot dog man” incident in Chapin lore. Ivanka had basically been the ringleader, but she pleaded her innocence to the headmistress and got off scot-free. The rest of us were suspended.”
A question for the legal experts out here.
It seems like Ivanka committed perjury when testifying before the committee. Has she? Does the documentary footage put her into legal jeopardy?
I’m guessing that she was truthful to the committee, but lied to the documentary filmmaker.
I’m guessing she was wondering what breasts looked like before having surgery.
This looks like fun.
According to the Times, Ivanka Trump expressed full support for her father’s fake voter fraud narrative and his election steal efforts, saying that “a lot of Americans feel very, very disenfranchised right now, and really, question the sanctity of our elections, and that’s not right, it’s not acceptable.”
What’s weird, though, is that nine days earlier, then-Attorney General Bill Barr said there wasn’t any voter fraud and, according to your sworn testimony to the Jan. 6 committee, you “accepted” what Barr said.
Barr is seriously missing the point that Ivanka was trying to make. Facts and evidence don’t matter. What only matters is how you feel. If “a lot of Americans feel very, very disenfranchised right now," that’s the only thing that’s important. That, alone, is enough justification for a coup. That’s what daddy says.
We should pick a drinking word and a toking word then have a race!
But why lie on film? That doesn’t make sense unless in her delusional mind she thought Daddio would triumph and there would be no repercussion. I think she lied to the committee to make herself and Jughead look good for posterity. She doesn’t have enough self awareness to remember what she’s said in the past.
In any case, I hope she and her hubby get burned.
Velvet Gangster
Indeed…they were completely suspended !
The filmmaker was hired by the Trumps for the Trumps.
Obviously the entire family is delusional.
I hate the phrase, but I have learned when a Republican or a Fox News personality says something is a nothing burger it actually a Top Sirloin Something Steak.
