Is there still such a thing as “prime time”? This will be tricky because I think most folks that are in the know, like us for example, would tune in, but now that TV and times to watch something isn’t set in stone, then why throw the whole thing out of whack?

Primetime? Why not drop the whole season on Netflix…

Now that’s reality TV I could actually watch…

Especially, if they could knock FOX off-line while they were on.

The question “What did the President know, and when did he know it?” worked before. So did the adage “Follow the money.” They can work again.

The best part is there are no GOP critterclowns on the committee to gaslight the proceedings with bullshit. And I think the jan 6th assault put an end to stunts like Masty Gaetz charging into a hearing, unauthorized. He does that this time he’ll feel cuffs and frogmarch for the first time in his life.

Weren’t the Watergate hearings rebroadcast at night? I was a kid but my memory was that they were on during the day and then my dad would watch again after work. My parents were ever-so-slightly more lax about TV time in the summer, so we watched what we could even if it wasn’t a Gilligan’s Island rerun.

Get some high drama in the first couple days that the MSM has to cover, then it becomes must see TV. They’re already playing this game by releasing some of markymeadows and inanity’s juicier panictexts.

I’m pretty sure Gaetz was cuffed when he was arrested for DUI, so he knows the feel of bracelets, which, truth be told, look really well on him.

What? During The Voice, The Bachelor, and all those other The shows? Inconceivable.

America’s got talent.

Don’t bet on it. Senator Daddy has huge pull in northern florida, and the cops most certainly knew who he was. He kept his license through sixteen speeding tickets, and you know a bunch of those were dropped down from reckless driving.

Primetime for Congressional hearings would, to my knowledge, be unprecedented, but then again, so is a coup attempt against the United States of America.

This probably would not be a consideration if Kevin McCarthy wasn’t such an abject moron and, in a pique of impotent rage, refused to appoint any acceptable Republicans to the Committee. Republicans who would have sandbagged the hearings more cleverly than the foam at the mouth Jordans of the world.

This also puts Fox in a bind:

  1. Don’t show it and lose viewers who will get to hear a different telling of events than they’ve heard on Fox, or
  2. Do show it and outrage their viewers by having them hear a telling of events that they haven’t heard before on Fox.

For this reason, I was absolutely ecstatic when Nancy turned down the three turds and Qev said he was going to take his ball and go home.

  1. Run commercials during the testimony, then have their talking heads foxsplain the most recent testimony, backed up with out of context clips of testimony. Doesn’t even have to be perfectly current, can do it on 10 minutes delay to give time to do the slicing. Also, run a chyron that frequently slips in “Liz Cheney - D”.
  2. Ignore it all and run counterprogramming. Half the country doesn’t give a fuck anyways; one hopes it’s the half that doesn’t vote.
