I have been observing the steady progression in the estimate of when the hearings would start, from March now until June. I hope the delay is strategic.There is potential for very significant news to be made and presented.
Whether the news media will cover it properly, or blow it off, will be significant to see also.

The Watergate Hearings conducted so artfully by Senator Sam Ervin happened in a very different America.
The media then was civically virtuous, even virginal, compared to the whorehouse of the present.
And Congress, then, did legislation not the carny performance art of today.
When the J6 productions launch in June the dynamics of presentation and audience response will be utterly different and impossible to predict. Still, I feel confident in anticipating a sea change in our general public view of January 6. How much of a change? Who knows?
Combined with Allied support in the War in Ukraine, and - especially - more positive public perceptions of the economy, something like Democracy might even survive November. But, then, I’m an optimist.

@billymac… In this atmosphere that Trumpism has placed us (with the rampant feeling among people of all political persuasions that GOPers/Trumpers always get away with things), it is hard not to feel pessimistic and then turn on people who dare to appear optimistic.
If people only knew how enervating that is they would not do it as much as they do.
Besides, not all optimistic people are pushovers.

The original plan was a preliminary report and hearings in April, followed by final report and hearings in the fall. I imagine they’ll still do more stuff in the fall.
And if the R’s take one or both chambers in November, get ready for the narrative to take hold that Dems shit the bed by not letting go of the violent attempted coup.
