Jan. 6 Committee Asks Reps. Brooks, Biggs, Jackson For Info - TPM – Talking Points Memo

Not entirely OT either—here is the essence of what makes Nancy a badass. Yes, she’s smart, she’s savvy, she outthinks and outplays you every time, but this is the core of it:

“…Ronny Jackson (R-TX)…”

I’m not saying Ronny Jackson is an alcoholic, but his blood tested positive for Steve Bannon.

Bannon, the veiny nosed deconstructionist, who was the head herd animal pulling Trump’s sleigh.

He had me fooled…

Seems likely, although this could also be a warning shot, telling the Reps that the committee already has the information from other sources like the Oath Keepers who cooperated, and these Reps are welcome to try some damage control.

Reps. Mo Brooks (R-AL), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), and Ronny Jackson (R-TX) all received the requests, which ask the members to cooperate with the panel on a voluntary basis.

Voluntary. Non-binding. No information forthcoming.

Jackson typically complains of too much blood in his alcohol system.

If this is the way it is done and they haven’t “invited” Empty Greene and Boebert , yet…
The best is yet to come.

Nah he wanted IMMUNITY; claiming the 5th is not giving the committee any information so why should anybody give Jones immunity?

If Brooks, Biggs and Jackson could assemble a single brain among them, they might come to the conclusion that they’re being offered a seat in the last lifeboat before the ship sinks. But they won’t.

Enjoy the swim, guys.

Semi-OT - according to the more mouth-breathing areas on the internets, Nancy is a coward because she waited this long to go to Kyiv, and it’s not a war zone anymore. FFS, Putin is still lobbing missiles about, accidentally getting the Speaker blown up in someone else’s war wouldn’t be a good look, and I’m sure Ukraine didn’t want that to happen either.

That’s a good reason to go now. The best reason.

Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Information IS forthcoming…from the Commission itself, which has the necessary receipts of their Treason and Perfidy.

That kind of person isn’t worth responding to or even thinking about. It’s mindless, reflexive hate and you won’t argue them out of it.

It is actually unclear whether they committed criminal acts. If they conspired to get the Capitol assaulted by the mob, they have real criminal jeopardy. Conspiring to object to the electoral votes, not so much.

This would’ve been their chance to get out in front of this all, but the three idiots don’t understand.

They’ll just deflect.

Q: Congressman Brooks: Why were you wearing a bulletproof vest on January 6th which is day for the formal certification of the election results? What prior knowledge did you have about the planning of the rally outside the capital that led you to wear said vest, something usually reserved for law enforcement and the military?

Waited “this long”? It hasn’t been years, it’s been a couple of months. They would and do say anything to try to make the Speaker look bad. Which Repug has been to Kyiv?

Or, ask and give them 3 days to RSVP. Then subpoena. Their resistance helps to solidify the claim that Republicans are colluding to obstruct the investigation and cover their crimes. Hopefully, this will push some independents to realize that the GOP is a Constitution subverting crime family.
