Working their way up the ladder…

I feel like being given the chance to stonewall the committee is becoming a badge of honour for the hard-right - that’s why Alex Jones was begging for a chance to turn up and plead the Fifth at them.

I agree, but am thinking (hoping) the committee has information/evidence that they can release should these treasonous assholes refuse cooperation.

Ah man! Don’t ruin it for me!

Not really much point, as the witnesses can almost certainly use the courts to delay past the midterms.

It never fails to amaze me that Andy Biggs represents me - in any sense of the word. I hope I don’t get to vote against him for as long as I voted against Arpaio.

He is a real POS.

At some point these “invitations” shift from

…please come in and help us better understand the magnitude of what all went on
To
… here is an opportunity for you to get out in from of the steamroller that is heading your way.

… these guys have to decide where they think they reside on that continuum… and then they have to hope they guessed right.

Stairway to Hell.

Of course not, because they know they committed criminal acts.

Legally, is it more than a matter of courtesy that they be formally asked to address the committee’s questions? Alternately, is this the committee’s way of presenting evidence obtained so far?

…and the clock keeps on ticking away to the midterms.
