My grandson turns 13 in 5 weeks. I’ve suggested that he get boosted.
The pandemic should never have been politicized. That is trump’s fault. He should’ve called it a common enemy we all needed to defeat. But he hated science and hated facts and chose his own personal political needs over the health and safety of all of us. Fuckwad that he still is. A human cancer.
Yep, Meadows and others have mentioned Trump being elected Speaker should they successfully steal the house.
But they are owning Biden, amirite?
I think even T**** is realizing that the only people being owned are the ones that are sick and dying. The Libs are going on blithely, minimally impacted by Omicron, and leaving the dying Red Dogs behind.
Now, if the government would just start the immunization to go anywhere policy, so much the better.
I’d guess he and his family got covid and his wife has cancer and she is the likely one to be in the bad place.
For his children’s sake I hope she comes through.
DeSantis said vaccines are effective and everybody eligible should get vaxxed. Now he’s gotta keep his head down, helmet and Kevlar handy.
Hello, Austin Dave,
Your Fox News relations from New England are real, but they do not represent most people moving to Georgia. Between 2010 and 2020 the number of white Georgians declined outright, even as the state became the 8th-largest state in the country and attracted a million new residents (outdone by only Texas, Florida, and California in numbers of newcomers).
Basically Georgia (and Arizona) are preceding Texas. All credit to Stacey Abrams and Fair Fight for registering and engaging with voters, but they are just harnessing the wave of people power. And Georgia augurs the future in Texas. And that future further panics Republicans.
And the more unvaccinated there are (not just here but globally), the greater the chance for another variant to come along. I am beyond caring about those who are willingly unvaccinated were it not for them clogging the health care system and hurting others needing to use it.
The key for Arizona is turning Maricopa County (Phoenix area) purple. Get dems to vote there and the state goes for democrats. And the real key is Mesa and Chandler (suburbs of Phoenix). They are pretty deeply red.
I know that most physicians will disagree but, dammit, you show up to the hospital with covid after you have refused vaccination - you should be last priority. You got the last bed and then victims of a car accident come in? Booted! You can go wait in the parking lot.
I’ve never understood why someone would reject something that can save their life and can get it for free. To not do so (outside of medical reasons) means one does not give a shit about themselves or others at all.
Some, for sure, but lots are leaving CA because it’s expensive to live there and wanting the places they end up to be more like CA, politically.
I cannot imagine that many Arizonans are pleased with the performance of their Senator, nor are they thrilled with the way their State admin has been handling the election-steal nonsense.
Hopefully, enough get energized to show up in 2022 and send these nincompoops home (well, maybe not Sinema, if she’s not up for election).
Instead, what’s happening is that serious health conditions are being shunted aside where said health condition isn’t something that can be avoided like COVID could.
I would agree, except that I think they give too many shits about themselves.
Hey - how about the abysmal failure to deal with covid? In AZ we’re #3 in covid deaths per million residents behind AL and MS - and we are breathing down ALs neck for that #2 spot.
Again, entirely up to the good people (vs. the idiots) in AZ to show up and vote them all out. Really. There is no other hand. If Dems don’t vote and independents keep getting convinced that the GQP is really out to help them, vs. out to kill them, there’s no resolution here.
Get out the vote and throw the bums out.
Sinema is up for reelection in 2024. Mark Kelly is filling out the rest of John McCain’s term and is up for reelection this time around. I look forward to voting for Senator Kelly. Note: one does not hear of him acting like an idiot with a curtsy in the well of the Senate or wearing a “Fuck off” ring and then posting an image of one’s self wearing it as Sinema did. I believe she is a fake, a mirage of a human who has no business being in the Senate. Looking up her history I see her as one into self aggrandizement and then burning bridges from those who assisted her rise. It’s a consistent pattern with her and I must admit I missed this when I voted for her. I was wrong in that vote in both the primary and general elections. I should have written in my friend (acquaintance really) Steve Farley’s name. He is experienced in our state government as both a local Rep and State Senator. He’d make a great Senator.
Yes - but if more of us had done that we would have ended up with Martha McScummy. That would be even worse - as amazing as it is to contemplate.
I’d rather not contemplate her.
My vote is my only voice short of demonstrations so I try to consider it very carefully. I try to do my homework on the folks seeking office. I don’t vote out of reflex as far too many do/ And I don’t use just one information source either. To me my vote is serious business even though in the scheme of things one vote out of millions is meaningless. I still see it as important.
