On Sunday, the Iraqi parliament approved a non-binding resolution to remove U.S. forces from the country after President Donald Trump authorized a drone strike to kill Iranian military leader Qasem Soleimani.

Wonder if Trump will refuse to leave? This making us (once again) and inquiring/occupying force in Iraq (because that went so well the last time)

Don’t worry. The Russian allies bordering Iraq will protect our interests while we are gone.

Shit-for-brains IMPOTUS asked the Iraqi PM to mediate with Iran to reduce tensions and then shit-for-brains IMPOTUS subsequently ordered Soleimani assassinated. The Iraqi PM says that Soleimani was carrying the response to the Saudi initiative to defuse tensions when shit-for-brains IMPOTUS had Soleimani killed. So now the Iraqi PM tells the Iraqi Parliament that it’s time to kick the US out of Iraq, and the Iraqi Parliament has voted to obligate the Iraqi government to end the presence of all foreign troops on Iraqi soil. And now Iran has removed all constraints on their uranium enrichment program.

Pompeous has done a remarkably exceptionally bad job as Secretary of State, and shit-for-brains IMPOTUS has again demonstrated bipolar dysfunctionality.

A novelist cannot fabricate something this monumentally stupid because no one would buy it.

CAN WE STOP WINNING FOR A COUPLE MINUTES BEFORE WE BLOW UP THE WORLD???

A non-binding resolution? Why? Is this we disapprove, but not completely, or is this just a step to a binding resolution?

ETA: Ok. After reading the linked Reuters article, it appears they need to pass a law to make it binding. A resolution won’t suffice.

Hmmmm, by expelling our troops, this makes Iraq a sitting duck for Iran, no? Just like Russia wanted.

Sooo, Russia via Iran will control the gulf as well as the oil. Makes sense of the joint naval maneuvers…

Or is there something I’m missing Here ?

One can tell that Cadet Bone Spurs has never been in the military and has no understanding of or competence in protecting U.S. interests because he continues to sh_t in his own mess kit.

Did the Iraqi Parliament happen to mention how and when Iraq would be delivering all the oil they owe us?

I’m in favor of sending America’s greatest warrior criminal, Edward Gallagher, to Iraq to let them know we mean business. Don’t come back with anything less than 100 million barrels, Eddie.

Take a minute or two to read this opinion and then grab a coffee and we’ll go kick some butt.

It was hilarious watching Pomposity on Press The Meat whining about how disrespectful it was having Dotard called IMPOTUS…

Pelosi said it well: Where Trump is concerned, “All roads lead to Putin.”

This actually seems pretty mild to me:

  1. Officially declaring victory over IS
  2. In light of victory, Iran no longer requires US help
  3. Iran will stop asking for US help as soon as they pass the bill
  4. Iran considers Soleimani’s killing to be a “political assassination” [which is (mostly) accurate]

With any luck, we can effect regime change in the US and reset relations with Iran. I think they don’t want war. America does not want war. The only people who want war between the US and Iran are Vladimir Putin and American neocons. I say let them fight each other.

Trump’s response to this was to threaten Iraq with sanctions If they require the US to leave. As Ramsey Bolton noted, “If you think this has a happy ending, you have not been paying attention.”

Trump is already talking about putting sanctions on Iraq if they do this. Bunch of blather about the airport, it cost billions, gotta pay us back, blah blah. Obviously what rankles is anything perceived to be criticism. Should we ever have been there from 2003 on? No. Would it be a humiliation if we were forced to leave now? Of course. Does Trump know or care what viable path forward would benefit the nation best? Of course not.

All I can say is not entirely OT but here’s to Georges Duboeuf, a Frenchman who died yesterday at 86 after having made and sold oceans of affordable, drinkable Burgundy wine all his life. How many dinners and parties did he make that much more enjoyable? A few of mine, anyway. There are people who add to happiness in this world, and if we gave them a bit more recognition I don’t see how it could hurt. God bless the doctors, the nurses, the teachers, the builders, the social workers, the people who do the necessary things every day, the musicians and artists, the winemakers, the positive people. God damn the ones who take and take and take. God damn you, Donald Trump.

If Jared’s plan for Middle East peace was to make the US leave in the most shameful manner possible, thereby getting everyone else to talk about how stupid we are, and then base a peace agreement on that, then the strategy is working out and he’s a genius. (insert sarcasm emoticon here)

It’s no surprise the Iraqis did this, the growing influence of Iran over Iraq and the overt assassination of a political figure made it obvious they would do this. Now, we wait to see if Trump actually follows through on forcing the Iraqis to accept US troops there…that would be a great way to set us up for a major terror strike against out troops, or an all out assault from the Iranian army on a base somewhere in Iraq. I’m still looking for where any of the recent actions in the Middle East are going to make America great again…
