Neil Peart?

I did themed ties for Wagner’s “Ring” cycle in Seattle the last time they did a performance. For “Das Rheingold” I wore Jerry Garcia’s “Lazy River” tie. Some of my fellow Opera goers were very amused.

Foxhaven?

Strange…but ok.

This old white guy loved Tupac. Oddly enough, Tupac’s favorite song was by an old white guy—Vincent by Don McLean.

Such a nice story except for the guy getting fired. Damn Republicans are just awful always.

Always always always. If there is a heaven for me, it’s a nightclub and Tupac is waiting for me at my table.

I really love him so much.

Since when has being young-at-heart become a crime? Or is Foxhoven’s larger crime that of being a christian conservative who likes an African-American rapper?

I actually loved the email homage to Tupac’s birthday on Fathers Day? That was touching.

Seriously?

Tupac Shakir. I miss him terribly.

After Foxhaven sent an email to all 4,300 DHS employees last month telling them to listen to Tupac’s songs in honor of the late rapper’s birthday, Gov. Kim Reynolds ® apparently had had enough.

I guess firing Foxhaven was better than having him choked to death by the local thugs, although, liking Tupac might be as serious a crime as selling individual cigarettes on the street.

True enough. That and plenty of bourbon.

I don’t Twitter. That notwithstanding:

An “itis” is an inflammation of an organ. An “osis” is a process, condition, or state, usually abnormal or diseased; or a physiologic or pathologic production or increase; or an invasion or infestation. Melber’s musical acumen is definitely an “osis.”

I like Melber.

I can’t quote any rapper lyrics but I learn from him.

I do know lyrics from Temptations, Vandellas, EWF, EvelynChampagneKing, Chaka Kahn & Ashford
& Simpson.

Keep on being “fresh” Melber.

I truly doubt it. Lots and lots of 65 year old (and younger) white dudes (and whatever the female counterpart of “dude” is) are also into Rock & Roll, the Blues, Jazz, even Ragtime and Gospel. And yet, here we are with a racist white nationalist for a president and no one able to bring him down before the next election.

African American music is effective for helping some to understand their darker brethren, but I wouldn’t bet the farm on it.

I prefer “dudette” but YMMV :sunglasses:

For a second there I thought I was reading a headline from the National Enquirer.

Ah, yeah, it’s going to take a white band to bring about racial harmony in this country.
