These born agains know every seedy street corner in the country.
Ugh, and Ramaswamy was so close…
49% of last night’s rather pathetic turnout said hell no to the Insurrectionist In Chief.
Bright spots.
Despite her Civil War howler (something that should have eliminated her from polite company, let alone major political candidacy), the media have been all but openly rooting for Nikki Haley as the supposedly reasonable Republican that reasonable people can vote for.
So much for that – she didn’t even finish second. When will the media ever learn? – the GOP base wants candidates whose main policy is that they are are openly vicious and nasty. The more psychopathic, the more the Bible-thumpers worship them as an Ersatz Jesus.
Cold comfort should the same results occur in November.
- NBC News: Fears grow that Trump will use the military in ‘dictatorial ways’ if he returns to the White House
Ya think?
A lot of us are scared shitless that our country will be over.
Probably an ancient law from the 1800s that targets ‘ain’t no babies getting made in that car.’
This will give dotard a great dead cat bounce in the polls.
Thanks for the EV article. I bought another hybrid last year, and the two reasons I didn’t go fully electric were:
- too expensive (my budget was $35K, tops)
- still waiting for better infrastructure (my brother visited me in eastern PA in his new Mustang and the hoops we had to jump through to find a working charger made me go, not yet)
But I rented an EV during a recent Los Angeles trip and was hugely pleased. I think we’re in an ICE equivalent of 1920 when it comes to EVs and infrastructure – that is, there weren’t gas stations on every other corner and cars were becoming more technologically advanced (like you didn’t have to check your gasoline by putting a dipstick in the tank). Honda – my preferred make – is starting to roll out its EVs, and I’ll be watching carefully to see what they’re like.
‘Ersatz Jesus’ may be a little too ethnic for the evangelical crowd, no?
Not great news out of deep red Iowa for the former guy.

We bit the bullet and got a Chevy Bolt to replace the better half’s Kia Soul. We like the car, but you lose about 30% of your range in bitter cold weather (it was minus 5 this morning). The Bolt is eligible for the $7.5K federal rebate (I believe they knock it off the price at the dealer now), bringing our out the door total to around $22K for a car with a 259 mile range.
Definitely not a road tripping car - I’d use my trusty 2014 Mazda3 for that.

In are worst group of scoundrels, hacks, hangers-on, and would-be authoritarians this nation has ever seen.
At least in the polls that the corporate media are happy and willing to promote.
This won’t be popular. Admittedly I am no expert on running campaigns or top-down messaging.
But I though Pelosi was pathetic as the top-of-the-pyramid strategist for the D party as a whole. Election after election.
I think she deserves a spot at the tip-top as an historical figure, was a great leader in many other ways, and superb as a legislative tactician and SoH. But her messaging was “He’ll impeach himself. Ignore him.” And cute-clapping behind his back at SotU.
Can someone tell me, who IS in charge of overall D messaging and campaign strategy? Who can grab the reins, and who can we write to/put pressure on? If it wasn’t Pelosi or isn’t Jeffries now…who is it? We don’t just have Chump as a target. The Senators who failed our nation and showed galactic Cowardice…the insurrectionist enablers in Congress…we have a huge fat target in the R party aside from just Chump and we need to start hitting the bullseye repeatedly.
