Investigators Are Probing Possible Ties Between Roger Stone, Alex Jones And Capitol Rioters | Talking Points Memo

The Justice Department and FBI are investigating whether Roger Stone, Alex Jones and other right-wing figures, may have played a role in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, the Washington Post reported late Friday.

Or perhaps just one “too long” tie?

Stone’s pardon was on December 23rd, so anything after that is open to prosecution.

This, via Kevin Kruse is just wild. What is that stuff that Josh occasionally hawks, Grady’s Cold Brew? Perhaps a little plagiarism is in order.

Once all is revealed even those paying attention will be shocked.

Thank you, I was just about to look this up for that very reason.

If Stone fell into some street justice, I wouldn’t be sad. Such scum!

I never knew Kermit was such a scoundrel.

Seth Abramson’s research into a Jan 5 meeting at trump’s hotel is — I hope — being given more attention by the intelligence community and law enforcement than the media has given it.

When Seth started compiling it on his Twitter, I expected it to be all over the place. The entire Legion of Doom was there, most likely conspiring and coordinating Jan 6.

But…it’s not getting attention, and I have no idea why not.

Well, we know that this obstruction of justice happened.

And honestly, I’m not shocked. What would shock me is that The Trump Regime reanimated frozen Third Reich secret weapons scientists.

VSPs think that Seth is an unserious, conspiracy theorist, sometime lawyer. I’m not so sure myself sometimes, but the institutional news media appears to prefer to keep him at arms length.

If Roger Stone doesn’t get life in prison for the Crimes Against Fashion, alone, then there’s NO justice!

May have? Did Ted Cruz leave his poodle to die while the family fled to the Promised Land?

Ford’s pardon of Nixon was very broad. I wonder if Trump would try to claim there is a precedent, and that the pardon could umbrella over related crimes. It’s not like they have anything to lose–

All the juror’s would gouge their eyes out at first glimpse of the evidence. No verdict.

It is said that Trump is bemoaning his future filled with prosecutions against him.

And I know why…

Trump is a man operationalized by power and the ability to control others. “Crime”, “guilt”, “innocence”, “laws” are all seen by him through the prism of power and the ability to define what is lawful and deserving punishment.

Trump is no longer president…that reality will make its way to his various minions, paid slaves, lackeys, stooges and enablers.

Oh, please make this happen. To see these three in the dock together? Priceless.

As a number of Stone’s bodyguards were arrested for storming the capitol, I have a strong suspicion that Stone knows quite a bit about how the attack happened. Without the promise of a presidential pardon, I have a feeling that Roger Stone will turn out to be quite the squealer.

Maybe Mike Lee would let trump have a mulligan and re-do the pardon.

I can’t assess him broadly since his Twitter feed is a recent discovery of mine, but in this case anyway, he has done his research from sources that are all public and verified. It’s not just that HE has receipts, the receipts are all public (posts and screenshots, interviews given to news sources, etc.). He is fastidious about labeling what is certain versus what is not.

IMO, he is very passionate, at times emotional, but not unstable or wacky.
