OT: Speaking of Nazis; ICE finally got it right.

ICE deported a 95-year-old former Nazi armed guard from Tennessee back to Germany on Friday. Friedrich Karl Berger was given a deportation order in February 2020 after a court found he participated in Nazi-sponsored acts of persecution. He worked at a camp in the Neuengamme Concentration Camp system in 1945 near Meppen, Germany. Prisoners at the camp included Jews, Poles, Russians, Danes, Dutch, Latvians, French, Italians, and political opponents. Berger admitted to the court in 2020 that he guarded prisoners at the camp so they couldn’t escape overnight, as well as during a two-week trip when Nazi leaders evacuated the camp as British and Canadian forces approached. Berger said he never asked to leave his position as an armed guard, and he’s still receiving a German pension, which includes payment for his “wartime service.”

One more thing about Trump (unsaid above)

Trump, as president, always had formal protection: GOP politicians, SCOTUS, corrupt RWNJ judges, Barr’s DOJ, and even the control of Mueller by Rosenstein and Mueller’s lack of autonomy from Trump’s executive control.

And, of course, a Mount Everest amount of lawyers.

Trump, not being president, still has the informal protection devices…He has stochastic terrorism at his disposal, capable of animating Jack and Jill Q. Public to do his bidding. He has FOX. He has a number of RWNJ media. He also has Brownshirts, reminiscent of Ernst Roehm. He also has the mentality of a Mob Boss.

The informal protection devices Trump possesses are subject to the wishes of the American People…through their sentiment…through their willingness to apply the Rule Of Law to private citizen Trump the same as they would ANY OTHER PRIVATE CITIZEN

Just after the pardons, I saw some lawyer’s analysis of them, and he said that the pardons were written with a very narrow scope. The lawyer said this was a screw-up by Trump for that very reason: they weren’t broad enough to protect these perps from a bunch of stuff they did.

We let too many of those bastards escape. I’ve heard accounts from WW2 vets – all gone now – of soldiers killing guards when liberating these camps. Some year ago I read something to the effect that commissioner John McCloy said something to the effect that we’ve hanged enough Germans. We, the British and Aussies hanged a trainload of Japanese – 700(?). Maybe 200 (?) Germans. A million would not have been enough.

“Both Stone and Jones have denied seeking anything more than peaceful protest after participating in events on the day of the attack, the Post said.”

But what will they say under oath? Remember these people have freedom of speech, which means, in their view, they can lie with no issues. Until it becomes a legal matter. The FBI is going to have fun interviewing Stone, yet again!

Not sure why there’s all the media hating on Seth. Over the years, his meta-analyses have been spot on, probably because he follows the media reports that might ordinarily be missed or ignored. Meta-analysis of other reports/studies is fairly common in the scientific community.

Well, they’ll stone you when you’re trying to be so good
They’ll stone you just like they said they would
They’ll stone you when you’re trying to go home
And they’ll stone you when you’re there all alone
But I would not feel so all alone

Stone seems to be a slow learner and not at all good at risk assessment. And if they nail his pardoned hide to the wall I might just have to start believing in the power of prayer.

P.S. I know hate-reading is a reprehensible pastime but I sure wish we had a dunk-tank-type thread on this Newsmax moron who was going on and on about one of Biden’s dogs looking dirty and not well cared for and how it wasn’t presidential to have a dog looking that way. It takes the tan-suit kind of criticism to a whole new level.

I kinda like him, but he is intense and that turns some folks off. The institutional press tends to treat folks like Seth, like Mrs VH’s cousins used to treat one of their number, who was on the spectrum and would say “uncomfortable truths” which were “faux pas”, by basically pretending that he hadn’t said them. I thought he was a hoot. A very gentle soul.
