Law enforcement is investigating and conducting interviews after a Bloomington man was allegedly assaulted and, he said, almost lynched by a group of white people on July 4th.

Now that its gone viral they will make arrests and act as if they had always planned to do it.
One wonders how much emotional energy these people expend on their irrational hatred. They would suffocate if it were not for autonomic reflexes.

And that was the rub about the Second Reconstruction.
It achieved compliance…which made possible some among-equals interaction between people of different races and ethnicities. And it worked spectacularly (when juxtaposed with 100 years of Jim Crow).
But some resisted and settled for a grudging compliance.

And who says they can’t celebrate the 4th the way their grandparents did!

Keep in mind, this took place in Bloomington, home of the state flagship university and a very blue oasis in a very red state. And that makes all of this hurt even more.
