Intelligence sources said there’s been a “significant increase” in online threats and violent rhetoric from domestic extremists since former President Donald Trump claimed he will be indicted in the Stormy Daniels hush money case, according to CBS News.
So far, sources say there are no identified credible or direct threats to a person or property but officials are continuing to monitor online chatter for credible specific threats of violence.
I’m sure after a couple days of destructive mayhem, arson and multiple deaths authorities will intervene and put a stop to it. Certainly someone will tell them what’s going on outside their windows in time to avert the worst of it.
They’re not gonna do jack shit in Manhattan. If they were, NYPD’d already be on them. This is a municipal police force that has as much (maybe more) counter-terrorism expertise as the FBI, and nearly as much counter-terror infrastructure spread out around the country and internationally.
Seriously, people from not around here seem to have no idea just what the NYPD can do.
Will they be good enough to post evidence of their crimes on Facebook, Twitter and in their e-mail accounts and phone logs this time around?
They are ‘conservatives,’ so I expect they’ll be standing by these traditions, no?
Not surprised. Most of these nincompoops are learning nothing from what’s happened to several hundred J6 rioters. IQ’s lower than a light bulb, thinking they’ll get away with it this time and TFG will save them, unlike the other poor slobs that are serving serious time.
I liked the comments from one prominent JanSix insurrectionist, to the effect that trump did nothing for the people storming the Capitol in his name. No pardons, no intervention in their incarceration, no legal help, and no repayment of legal fees. He let them “rot in jail.”
Given the relatively short notice, probably not. Any NYPD officers who aren’t out out of the area are effectively always on-call anyway, so there isn’t much need for it. They’re always primed for escalation… eager for it, in some ways.
And if it gets ugly… there are national armies out there with less firepower.
Yep, that’s a visibility measure, meant for intimidation value.
Well the Constitution supposedly says extremists can do extremist things as long as they are a well-regulated militia bearing arms to fight government tyranny. Do Skanky and Wanky’s white christian nationalist thugs meet this Constitutional standard?
Why is the FBI and intelligence monitoring conservative American domestic terrorist patriots? The Republican party wants the government coup to succeed. So is this monitoring of domestic terrorists good for America?
So how’s TFG’s call to action working out? Around a dozen hardened supporters heeded the call of the New York Young Republican Club last night. Six people showed up during the day. A movement has reached a plateau when panhandlers outnumber protesters.
