I never watched The Apprentice. Not once. And now I lost my concentration and read this goddamned article. Shit.
Every president needs a hobby, I guess.
Of course, sadistically toying with people or entire races or religions of people would not be the obvious choice for most. And Trump seems to have so many other productive hobbies as well, but this is the one he really clings to.
They changed the headline to make it more explicit about the “toying” aspect.
Ivanka and Eric thank you for your kind words.
45* will say: “Me likee so very big tloop movements chop chop!”
Powderkeg.
It’s incredibly frightening. I am afraid what will follow will be horrifying.
And Cheatolini will be glued to the edge of his seat when the tanks start rolling, the teargas starts flying and the billyclubs start hammering.
We’ll get a series of rage tweets in which he complains that he always has to “play nice” with everybody. 'Cause we all know he would love to solve his problems by siccing the RWNJ militias on everyone who’s ever crossed him.
Why did I read that? It seemed to be about a TV show. There was a TV show then with Trump and Blagojevich . . . ? It sounds god-awful.
While raging on Twitter to vent his jealousy that Xi gets to do that but he doesn’t.
Nice headline on front page.
Rod was “fired” on a TV “reality show”. But a person visiting the site would think that a real-life firing happened.
Somebody is enjoying himself way too much today at TPM.
Himself, when president-for-a-day Pence pardons him.
I usually don’t track who writes which mangled headline. Maybe we should.
This seems unnecessarily insulting. I mean, I’m sure Blagojevitch deserves every insult he gets, but we’re discussing him in the context of being a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice - isn’t uselessness a prerequisite?
If I recall correctly, headlines are usually chosen by the editors, not the jounalists.
In general, yes, but not necessarily at TPM. Weekends I think the author does the headline.
Donad Trump is still president. Things don’t get much more heinous than that.
This idiot was our governor. Actually one of a series of idiot governors.
Well now, this article reads like trump’s present day administration. I have never watched any of the “Apprentice” because I found trump unwatchable from the ads for the show that I did see back then. But it sure seems that trump got his management style from that show.
I knew well before trump was on tv what sort of scum he is. It is amazing how he fooled millions of people into voting for him. They should have done their homework before voting for that vile waste of carbon.
Full disclosure here - that clip is the only time I have ever witnessed any part of the reality show The Apprentice. It is every bit as horrifyingly tacky and devoid of substance as I had imagined, whenever I have actually expended any time imagining the thing which to be fair is not often.
The sight of tRump sitting there pretending he knows anything whatsoever about what he is babbling about, and being portrayed as some kind of insightful business genius makes me physically ill. The contestants being forced to grovel before him and throw each other under the bus is equally gag inducing - the icing on the cake is the ominous melodramatic music in the background as though these are events of great import.
Ugh. Ugh. Just ugh.
