I suspect there’s gonna be a lot of peat – the frozen plant remains don’t break down – and so it will be of dubious value for traditional agriculture.
Really, though, it’s outside my realm of knowledge, so I can’t say anything that’s not largely speculative.
Columbian Americans politics and voting patterns can lean heavily conservative particularly in places like South Florida where the perception however unfair that Democratic candidates advocate for “socialist” policies. Fear of another Venezuela or Cuba means they are the new Cuban exiles. A fair number are quite progressive and have thrown their support behind the newly elected left wing President as well as the Vice President who happens to be a first Afro Columbian high ranking elected official.
However I don’t think the judge would suffer fools lightly and consider Trump to be a corrupt manipulative caudillo.
Arctic soils tend to be very poorly developed. Very thin, often a layer of peat over mineral soil or rock. You can’t just thaw Baffin Island and call it Ohio.
It could take centuries for good soils to develop.
The worst part is this was our choice to make. We didn’t have to do this to ourselves and, we could still mitigate the worst outcomes if we only had the political will to do it. Unfortunately, those solutions are not economically feasible at this time. We have to keep on growing the economy and making plastic shit for kids to play with and put our groceries in. Priorities!
I’m sure Trump’s indictment made front page news across the world. Which means the men in China are trying desperately to break through the Great Firewall to “figure out” who Stormy Daniels is.
