I suspect there were some communications between Fox management and Zaid’s firm that were not on Twitter.
She didn’t correct the smear, she just transferred it to the co-counsel, for interning for Schumer and Clinton when he was in college. Still a smear.
They both sound like foreigners, so what’s the difference?

For the past few weeks it has been starting to look as if the network is trying to separate a bit from Trump in anticipation of his possibly losing the next election. It doesn’t pay to be in the house when it burns down.
