With news that three House Committees are investigating the Trump attorney’s efforts to pressure the Ukrainian government to look for dirt on Joe Biden, it’s a question worth asking.
It’s quaint, I know: but McConnell as Senate Majority Leader should take point on this violation of the Logan Act. There’s a reason why Executive officials conducting American foreign policy must serve only with the advice and consent of the Senate.
It would be interesting to see the mega-$$$ involved.
This helps explain why Rudy was never a candidate for AG. It might have been a little harder to run the grift from that position. And … the money is always more important than the service to the country. Amirite, Rudy?
I find it interesting that he thinks all these countries will have a lot of dirt on Biden that he couldn’t just get in the US. Is Biden known for hanging out with wild women and men when he’s traveled in the past?
This gives us some insight into the depth of the administration’s foreign dealings that violate various laws and norms. This bunch always projects; they assume everyone else is as dirty as they are.
Now we see Ghouliani’s true fiber. If not for his having been fortuitously hired as a federal prosecutor, he would have been a grungy, grubby mob lawyer always looking for ways to suck up to the Boss and vicariously enjoying the Crime Lord’s power.
Wow, at his age the poor guy must be all tuckered out. (No pun intended) Donald doesn’t seem like the sharing kinda guy, so Rudy must skimming a little off Donald’s Ritalin/Adderall stash.
Grifters gotta grift. Rudy is up to corruption to his ears and anyone that ‘thinks’ Donnie is not right there with him needs to have his head examined…
Fun fact: Rudy and I were in Yerevan at the same time. I didn’t hear about it until I returned home. I will say you don’t get to Yerevan by accident! (Beautiful and interesting place, by the way.)
I need to write a Hive thread on the seemingly endless scandals sprouting like leaves on a tree in spring. But of all the actions being taken by Democrats to rein Trump in, the Intel investigation into Rudy is one of the better ones they’ve focused on. One of the points I’ve made as a reason to support impeachment is that it can check Trump’s criminality in real time. I made this very point to my member of Congress in a town hall a few days following Trump’s statement that he intended to accept foreign help in 2020. Rudy is out there shaking down foreigners to get that help. A Congressional investigation can expose and stop Rudy in his tracks and perhaps provide the bases for criminal referrals to the DOJ (to be addressed by the incoming Dem Administration) or to an AG (NY). That’s how you check Trump.
