Do you remember that early in the Obama Administration, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano released a report that concluded that the biggest terrorist threat to the country came from domestic right-wing extremists? And that Republicans immediately went completely nuts over that conclusion? They of course thought of this as the prelude to mass confiscation of their precious guns. I was afraid she was going to have to resign. She didnât, but I think the reportâs conclusions had to be deep-sixed. If it had been taken more seriously by the Powers That Be in Washington, maybe we wouldnât be having mass killings seemingly every week now.
