Good. Damn good, in fact.

Witnesses for the prosecution may be members of Congress themselves. Whereas witnesses for the defense, if any are produced, will surely get killed under cross examination.

The gop are going to call prominent democrats as witnesses and try to put them on trial. Won’t work very well, the format of questioning doesn’t really let them badger the witness.

A majority of the country already sees that Trump should be convicted. The Republican Senators playing politics and refusing to convict need to be made as uncomfortable as possible. Witnesses will do this.

It will be wild.

Assuming Kevin McCarthy is called as a witness, what would stop him from disregarding that his testimony is under oath and just saying that Trump never praised the rioters during his call with Trump during the siege on the 6th? Is it possible that a recording if that call exists and could be obtained?

I’d just like to go on the record, right here, right now, as saying:

ROTFLMFAO

You can quote me on that.

This is fantastic, it was the smart move prior to setting the rules, and upsetting they did not recognize that at the time. Glad they came around.

Exactly. Grand jury subpoena on its way.

Several GOPers tried to call the WH. We now know that McCarthy got through. Who else called the WH and what were they told?

There is is no hearsay rule in the trial, so they have the Rep who has publicly quoted him testify as well. Can’t remember her name, but she is also a GOPer. And while McCarthy may think he is protected from any consequences for lying under oath, I doubt any staffers have the same confidence. Especially since the Orange Anus can’t pardon them anymore, oops!

Orange Julius Caesar must be soiling his Depends bigly.

Now, if they would depose Lust Object and Wonderboy or Uday and Qusay, he would stroke out.

The gloves have come off. Sooner or later Biden will have to weigh in. He cannot let the hatchet job they did on Kamala stand.(Spelling corrected per lee Griswold)

It was the woman GOP rep from Washington state who was one of the 10 to vote in favor of impeachment.

I hear the Impeachment Managers can subpoena the Secret Service and the WH phone records of Jan 6th to corroborate whatever the Congressional witnesses attest to… Good luck for any GOPer lying under oath in the Senate chamber.

With Dem control of DoJ, a referral from Congressional Dems will get anyone lying under oath prosecuted, thrown out of Congress and end their political career… the same career they are protecting by covering and enabling Trump and his KKK base.

“…the plans for former President Trump’s impeachment trial have been thrown into chaos.”

That’s a damned shame. And they were doing so well…
